Question of the Day: Reality Show Edition

Will we ever have an Asian, Black, Latino or Gay bachelor on The Bachelor?

It's quite interesting that after 8 years, we haven't really seen diversity in this REALITY show.

I've wondered the same thing. Although, this year's bachelor is HOT!! I still won't watch the show though. LOL.

While I watch my fair share of reality television, this is a franchise I can't watch. They not only lack racial diversity, they lack genetic diversity - they seem to cast the same people every year. And I can't really stomach the results, a TV show about the worst people can be. After all, if that is what I wanna watch, there is the Bravo Real Housewife shows.

At first I was similarly annoyed by the lack of diversity on the show and then I watched an episode years ago and said to myself, "No, that's OK, you guys can keep this one."

I don't even want to imagine what kind of drama they'd look for with a more diverse cast.

ABC wouldn't show a gay bachelor, that's for sure. Maybe we should turn to Logo, MTV, or even the daring FOX for that.
It is sorta weird there hasn't been another race as the bachelor though. At least a multiracial guy, that way they could have woman of many races competing.

Good question V. Although, maybe minorities simply have too much sense and respect for themselves to be on such a empty, over dramatic show.

The Aryan Bachelor.

Here's an idea: get a non-caucasian bisexual man and have half the contestants be men. I'd watch that!

What do you mean Wondy!? We may not have had diverse bachelors on that show but we have had diverse bachelors. Achemm...Flavor of Love, Ray-J's Whatever, leftover guys from New York show(that I don't know the name of) Come on! Look at how wonderfully diverse all that is. LOL!

In a way, we should be grateful they haven't had a black, latin or asian bachelor on that show.

I agree with Howard. Also I seem to think everything is scripted and boy are these guys plastic!
