Question of the Day

Isn't the movie, Valentine's Day just a cheap ass U.S. version of Love Actually?

Not that cheap with that cast, but yeah, I think they don't even try to hide it.

Yes.
AND....
....I don't like the fact that in the ads, they're downplaying, hell, they are even showing, the gay couple in the film.

I'll see it anyway, just to see Eric Dane and Bradley Cooper as a couple. ;-)

I've heard people say this before and while I agree, I don't agree with this idea that "Love, Actually" was such a good movie it shouldn't be touched. It wasn't that good and Brit movies are often remade in the US so I don't see the issue.

Sorry, but I really didn't like "Love, Actually" and I really didn't like Keira Knightley's haircut in it so I'm a little annoyed...

On my first viewing of the "Valentine's Day" trailer I thought the same thing. I, personally, think "Love, Actually" is a wonderful film. It's unfortunate that the lesbian couple got cut, but these days the film going audience has the attention span of a gnat so the running time had to be trimmed. It's touching, humorous, and has a kick-ass cast. Whenever I need a good cry, I watch this film.
