I'm not sure how long you're staying, but it would do you a GREAT service to come to the outer boroughs--Brooklyn in particular--as Manhattan is way crowded, way smelly, way touristy.
Brooklyn is awesome this time of year: not crowded and way less expensive than Manhattan.
Have a great time in NYC!! It's been two years since I was there. I need to get back.
