We're ripping apart, little by little. We give money to organizations we feel should lead us into a future we all want and then mock each other when we disagree.
Is it the administration that isn't ready to give us what we want, or are we just to childish to accept the timeline offered?
We don't get psuedo-immediate actions and we storm away from the table.
We don't agree with protests so we demean them.
The smallness of the protest is not the FAIL here, the failure is our egos getting in the way of supporting one another even though we think of different ways to achieve the same goal.
When did it stray from: "I don't agree with what they're doing so I'm going to use my constitutionally-protected right to voice my disagreements."
To: "Ha ha! See what happens when you don't do it OUR way?!?"
It's tricky, I agree. I found myself hoping this would fail to teach the error of our ways. But I think I want this to be a learning tool to make us a stronger front.
We need to have conversations about our stances. Maybe we can come to a common ground
What timeline, Mikey? It's been said with respect to a new presidency or administration that if it's not done in the first one hundred days, it's not going get done.
Guess what? We're now outside the one hundred days.
You have people who arbiter themselves as leaders of the cause, telling me, you, and Wonder Man that we need to vote this, we need to send money to that, gimme, gimme, gimme only for them to turn around and make excuses at our expense when they fall short of their goals.
Assuming there was any ever any goals to begin with.
This protest is a fail because it was done under false pretenses, initiated by two posers who claimed something that was proven disingenuous by several people.
And that they didn't show says alot about those people.

Dixon Osbourne, ironically, is one of the authors of The Dallas Principles.
And Tammy Baldwin is looking a little haggard...

The initiators of the protest aside, the people who are there shouldn't be mocked. Maybe that's naive, but it's just my opinion.
I was speaking in general terms about a timeline, I know there isn't one. Aside from "Not now".
My comment was meant to ask if there was any middle ground, or will this just end up like Prop8, with everyone blaming everyone else.
Also, since it didn't get done in the first 100 days (which I agree is a great point), what now?
