Thank you for being an effective voice for the community. Although this is just a fundraiser, it's still an opportunity to let VP Biden and others know what's going on.

Pay no mind to the folks outdoors. They should try to see this in a different light. With any major change, you have to face the fire. We can't move forward if we only stand aside on the path. This must be done.

So I applaud you and I believe you are doing the right thing.

So again, Thank you.

Amen to this. Furthermore, I notice that the individuals attending are the true movers and shakers in the gay community.
Sorry folks but we don't need to "ACT UP" against Obama. He is a friend to us...
Fugg the rest of those queens

They won't have face time with VP Biden or other elected officials. Thsi is about raising money for the DNC. I fully support the boycott of the event. No more money without action. And guess what? The boycott has pushed action. It got the Democrats, headed by Pelosi, to hold a strategy meeting. The boycott worked.

Now we just need to hold the Democrats' feet to the fire. The time to talk with President Obama and the administration will be at the Stonewall mtg. That is not a fund raiser.

Honestly, I don't the protest did all of that, however, it could prove to be ineffective.

And to be real the Dems can make it without our funding...who do you think really put Obama in office?

You are such an apologist for Obama that you are totally missing the point. This isn't just about Obama, it's about holding the Democrats accountable for taking our cash and kicking our issues down the road.

And if you really think this attention hasn't impacted the sudden movement on gay issues then you're blind. Months and months of nothing being done and suddenly in the past week there is a flurry of activity?

I think it has a impact, but not a huge one. We can't assume that this was the catalysis for the progress.
