They're going to crow at every perceived victory. Here is what I see happening.
It will go down the exact same way interracial marriage went down. You'll have a handful of states allowing it, and then there will be a court challenge.
Obama has maybe 3 new appointments to make to the USSC in the coming years. Hopefully they'll be thoughtful jurists instead of reactionary ideologues like Scalia, Roberts and Alito.
