Diva Moment... Nubia

I'm obsessed with Nubia, Wonder Woman's real Black sister.

This was the panel that sent me into a queer geek frenzy back in the day.

It's from the Super Friends comic book, issue 25. The issue came out in 1979, but I didn't see it until 1982.
Although there are issues with this particular Nubia, I believe DC had good intentions. I hope we will see another powerful/maybe more challenging version of her soon.

I vividly remember reading this when it first came out in 1979 and LOVING with Nubia!

That shading on her gives the impression of facial hair. And molded from black clay... honestly, i don't want to see her. Just give me a good crossover with Storm.

Ooohh Child it sounds like Wondy almost want to call her the n-word. "No one speaks to me in that tone." Well excuse me and your Black sister!

I remember when you posted a commercial for the Nubia and Wonder Woman dolls. Little black girls finally get a doll and she's evil...sigh.
