Tallahassee SCLC, stick to the true meaning of your organization

In today's religious foolishness, Tallahassee SCLC (Southern Christian Leadership Conference) sent a silly letter to The Tallahassee City Commissioners about granting benefits to the same-sex partners of city employees.
Really, Joe? Please. I will advise you to remember the founder of the SCLC, Martin Luther King. He would not stand for this, nor his wife, who was a strong supporter of LGBT rights.

How dare you misrepresent this organization? And Bernice (the daughter of MLK), you are the head of the SCLC, you need to address this mess.

This is not an issue for this SCLC. This is your purpose

Objectives
To promote spiritual principles within our membership and local communities.

To educate youth and adults in the areas of personal responsibility, leadership potential, and community service.

To ensure economic justice and civil rights in the areas of discrimination and affirmative action.

To eradicate environmental classism and racism wherever it exists.

These objectives come from your website! Remember them and honor them. Taking on matters that are NOT a part of your mission is ridic.

Do not make a mockery of MLK's legacy.

Thx to Pam for posting the full letter.

Now that's downright pathetic! The SCLC founder, MLK, Jr., wouldn't have stood for this fooliness at all, but I guess since his homophobic daughter Bernice is in charge now all things changed.
