But is it really bitterness on Clay's part? They're both second-placers and of drastically different styles.
Neither of them be faulted for having opposing musical OPINIONS.
I mean, I severely dislike Teena Marie, but am I to be eviscerated by fellow musicians for it? Nope.

Clay is such a douche...
I liked Clay when he was on the show - the only season I watched much of. I picked up one of his albums (free box!) and found it competent and forgettable, the lyrics riddled with cliches. If he had good material maybe he'd be worth listening to.
But, Adam, 's gonna be the same for you!
('Course, that closety business haunts Clay in a way it don't haunt Adam.)
