I hope Lafayette comes back. At the end of TB's first season, something attacked Lafayette and we were led to believe that he's...I can't say it.
However, I found this piece of info that really didn't help things at all.

MICKEY: Since the season premiere (airing Sunday, June 14, 9 pm/ET) picks up right where we left off, the victim's identity is revealed in short order. As you might have already guessed, Season 2's first casualty is related to Tara, but not in a way that you will guess. At first blush, the significance of said death will not be apparent, but just wait! Also, a minor character's drinking problem will resurface — hilariously.
Nope, didn't help at all.

See, but we WOULD expect Lafayette to die... so I don't think it's him.
Lafayette needs to stay on the show.
I hate to say it but he does die in the book and it is him in the back of the car, once again, IN THE BOOK. But his character is so popular and so much better developed on the show than he is in the book that I wouldn't put it past them to keep him.
Also to be noted, his cousin's character(the best friend with anger issues) is not in the books at all. So they are obviously straying in some decent size ways from the novels. We'll see!
Oh I so cannot wait until True Blood's season premiere. I think, pretty positive, who it is in the car, and now that you gave this little tidbit, I'm sure of it. And it's not Lafayette...
Hester read the books and gave the scoop much of what we've seen has deviated from the books, so I'm hoping, Lafayette staying alive will be one of those changes.
My question is this, who and what the hell is the "pig" woman (Ensign Ro/Admiral Helena Cain)who knows Sam? Is she a shifter, a succubus, or something more sinister? Oh and is the hot kid staying with her at her manse gonna be back this season?!?! LOL.
