Question of the Day

What movie defines your teen years?

While in high school I had a group of friends that would meet up together in the school caf for lunch. We called ourselves The Breakfast Club.

When the film of the same name came out, I gagged because I was able to relate to it on so many levels, and saw a bit of my friends in each character.

Therefore, The Breakfast Club has remained a film that brings me back to my teen years and the friends I have never forgotten.

I'll have to go with Some Kind of Wonderful. I had a platonic friendship with a female friend and they turned out to run deeper than that as time went on.

It eventually didn't work out, but I'm glad it happened.

eh no movie really. I was watching a bunch of coming of age and coming out movies but hadn't come out. I wasn't necessarily depressed and oppressed like the characters in the movies but I liked the dramatic flare with which their lives suddenly got better after coming out/being outed and finding a boyfriend.

Maybe if there was some combination of KIDS and some gay nerd movie, that would be it - even though I never saw KIDS until college - those were the kinds of people in my group but I wasn't *really one of them. They just liked me and I liked having people to roam the sts with at night

Time Bandits, Stripes, Clash of the Titans, Raiders of the Lost Ark, a whole bunch of good movies in 1981!
