Saw it, liked it, didn't love it. They gave it all away too soon (in the opening credits in fact, with the images they were showing). The movie had a good idea but a mediocre expression of it.
I liked it and was rooting for it because we deserve a really good horror movie that also does good box office but my two overall thoughts were 1. undeveloped potential and creativity and 2. it wasn't sure what it wanted to be - real borrow or real spoof - it went safe.

I haven't seen it yet, but hope to despite not being a horror film fan (unless you're talking those from the 1930s and 40s)....it IS Joss Whedon, after all!
Honestly, horror is my least favorite genre. I only see horror when i'm dragged kicking and screaming. But it was easier to get me there, b/c of Joss. I really enjoyed it. It was such a unique story. It took some serious commitment to stick to that story that crosses genres. And that damn Jesse Williams... I wanted to see more of his body!
Viktor is a small town southern boy living in Los Angeles. You can find him on Twitter, writing about pop culture, politics, and comics. He’s the creator of the graphic novel StrangeLore and currently getting back into screenwriting.

I haven't but I'd like to just to watch and drool over Jesse Williams.

Went to a matinee today. Fun. Pretty clearly from the creator of Buffy.
