All Across the Country: Gay Marriage and Partnerships




A Mercer County judge has granted permission to a lesbian couple married in Canada to divorce in New Jersey.

The Wyoming legislature voted down a public referendum on same-sex marriage.

Phoenix's domestic-partner registry opens this week for couples wishing to make their relationships at least kind of legit.

The Senate passed legislation that would allow Virginia companies to extend life insurance benefits to the partners of its gay employees.

Rep. Jackie Biskupski, D-Salt Lake City, has decided to pull a bill that calls for repealing part of a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage.

State Sen. Robert Ford, D-Charleston, introduced the Civil Union Equality Act, which would allow same-sex civil unions in the state that would have all the benefits, privileges, rights and responsibilities of marriage.
