Free (HATE) Speech in a L.A. Community College

Student Jonathan Lopez has filed a lawsuit against a L.A. community college for violating his free speech.

Jonathan said that in the middle of his speech defining of marriage along with reciting a few bible verses, Professor John Matteson stopped him in mid-speech and lashed out at him.

He said that the professor called him a "fascist bastard" and wouldn't let him continue.

Lopez is seeking financial damages and trying to dismiss a code at Los Angeles City College forbidding students from making statements deemed "offensive." Then the leeches of the earth, Alliance Defense Fund comes rolling in. I have dealt with them before...their cause is quite bogus. David J. Hacker, an attorney for the leeches said:

"He was expressing his faith during an open-ended assignment, but when the professor disagreed with some minor things he mentioned, the professor shut him down. Basically, colleges and universities should give Christian students the same rights to free expression as other students."

Oh please, however two students have stepped forward and said they were offended by the speech, in fact one of them said "this student should have to pay some price for preaching hate in the classroom."

This lawsuit is foolish, but I hope the school won't back down.

When they want to evangelize, it's "religious duty." When we try to share our stories, we're "shoving the gay agenda down everyone's throats." funny how that works out.
