What's next, Cheers, the movie?

The show that I never watched, Friends, may be coming to the screen. Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc, Lisa Kudrow and David Schwimmer will reprise their roles for a big-screen adaptation 'within the next 18 months', according to secret peeps.

I think this is a bad idea. SATC is one thing, Buffy is another, but Friends? It was popular in the past, but it wasn't a great loss to the tube. No one fought for this show to stay on the air, and it's doesn't have a cult following. So can this really work? The spin-off, Joey was canceled in one season, so I don't know. I rather see the Golden Girls on the big screen, or Jem.
