Who Asked for This?: Taylor Lautner as Stretch Armstrong

Suffering Sappho! The world's overrated heartthrob has scored a new movie... Stretch Armstrong.
Universal Pictures has announced the "The Twilight Saga" star Taylor Lautner will will play the title character in Stretch Armstrong, which will be made in 3D, while the studio has moved back Battleship to Memorial Day Weekend in 2012:

Universal Pictures announced breaking news about two of its upcoming event films based on popular Hasbro brands, Stretch Armstrong and Battleship.

The announcements were made today by Universal Pictures Chairman Adam Fogelson and Co-Chairman Donna Langley.
Taylor Lautner (the Twilight saga) will play the title character in the upcoming 3-D superhero adventure Stretch Armstrong, to be released in 2012.

Boo! Why are they making this? Of course little girls and gay men will see this... wait, that's a dangerous combo, anywho they will see this mess, but why on Earth is this flick being made?

Thanks to NG for the heads up.

I'm so glad you described Taylor Lautner as overrated. I was beginning to think I was the only one who felt that way.

Every time I look at him all I can see is his pig-snout nose. He really needs to get some plastic surgery to fix that. It's best he takes off 4 months now and gets it done.

Hollyweird goes goo-goo, gaga over another common face of somebody that fits their eurocentric standards. What's new?

There are many gay jokes we all could make easily with this news. Lauther playing Stretch Armstrong. It's gay comedic gold, I say. Gold.

Stretch Armstrong doesn't need a movie. I cringe just thinking of what the plot might be. There are so many better roles they could put him in where little girls and gay men can get their fix.

Armstrong is just a peg more useful as Aquaman.
