Tea Party attacks Captain America

The Tea Party fools are mad at Marvel comics.

In Captain America #602, there's a panel that has a references to Tea Party.
In issue No. 602 of Captain America, "Two Americas, Part One," the title hero and The Falcon, a black superhero from New York City, stumble upon a protest rally in Boise, Idaho. They see scores of protesters carrying signs that say "Stop the Socialists!" and "Tea Bag The Libs Before They Tea Bag YOU!"

Captain America says the protest appears to be an "anti-tax thing," and The Falcon jokes that he likely would not be welcomed into the crowd of "angry white folks."

Now, they are mad as hell!

Michael Johns, a board member of the Nationwide Tea Party Coalition, said he felt the "juvenile" dig will ultimately do more damage to Marvel's brand than to the Tea Party movement. He also disputed the insinuation that the growing movement lacks diversity.

"The Tea Party movement has been very reflective of broad concerns of all Americans," Johns said. "Membership is across ethnic, religious and even political lines."

Johns accused Ed Brubaker (a marvel writer) of "blame-shifting" and questioned why an apology or retraction hadn't been issued as soon as the writer or Marvel executives noticed the politically charged signs.

Oh whatever, this is not an real issue. The Tea Party is an anti-American group, they promote failure and foolishness. They can't tell you why they're even active, so screw them.

And Marvel is making a killing on this. Since stores are pulling the comic off the stands, many peeps are buying them and selling on ebay. So far, the $2.99 comic book is selling up to $20 bucks on-line.

BTW, I've bought a few of these comics and selling them on ebay too. How else am I going to get my next Louis Vuitton bag?

I'm having an interesting little war of words with a tea party idiot on the Huffington Post. He basically equates the problems of today with progressive policies. I kid you not.

Lets see, as a progressive I want to see:

Equal right for all. Not so difficult to grasp.

Our schools reformed and lets start teaching again. Oh yeah, and forgive student loans for the next five years. Better yet, boost the Pell Grant program to cover more people.

Cradle to grave medical care, I don't care if it's a system like that in Canada, or a public system like that in Japan, just do SOMETHING already.

Now, where does the money for this come from? Stop fighting unnecessary wars. End the quagmire in Iraq and the debacle in Afghanistan. Take 1/3 the military budget and put it into R&D for true energy independence whether Generation IV nuclear, or nuclear fusion, or solar, wind, tidal, etc.

Enact strong protections so that corporations can not control the political process. That's probably the key right there.

You gotta love Stan Lee. :) It's awesoem how such little things get the Teabaggers panties in knots. That's why it is so much fun to pick on them. Their collective brain is on the evolutionary level of an Earthworm. No scratch that, tapeworm. This way, their parasitic habit is also covered!
They just reactionary out of fear of losing what they perceive is their "American Dream". They haven't the fainest idea what the two documents they defend most, the Constitution and the Bible, actually say, let alone be able to interpret what the contents actually define as a society.
But Captain America does.....
