DC Entertainment brings us Young Justice

Following in the footsteps of Batman, The Animated Series, The Justice League and Teen Titans, DC gives us Young Justice.
YOUNG JUSTICE is an all-new series produced by Warner Bros. Animation and based upon the characters from DC Comics. In YOUNG JUSTICE, being a teenager means proving yourself over and over – to peers, parents, teachers, mentors and, ultimately, to yourself. But what if you’re not just a normal teenager? What if you’re a teenage super hero? How much harder will it be to prove yourself in a world of super powers, super villains and super secrets? Are you ready to come of age in such a world? Are you ready for life or death rites of passage? Are you ready to join the ranks of the great heroes and prove you’re worthy of the Justice League? The members of Young Justice—Robin, Aqualad, Kid Flash, Superboy, Miss Martian and Artemis—are about to find out.
Aqualad is Black, something new and cute. Look for this on Cartoon Network in the fall.

Batman, the Animated Series was awesome, Justice League was Okay, and the Titans was meh in some episodes. I doubt they will produce something on par as Batman, as anything involving teenagers just seems to be overly melodramatic.

Why is Aqualad even here. It's well established in the literature that he is pointless. I would have preferred the Green Lantern.

Justice League was suhweet!!! Is ya crazy!! LOL!

I would have liked to have seen Wonder Girl. This is a team of sidekicks for the most part. So bring in the male Speedy, drop the female archer and give us some Wonder Girl for the second female team mate!

Now I know that they want to add some color. But I know the fan boys will have a fit about this! Remember how upset they got when they were gonna make Robin black in the Batman movies! Luckily Aqualad isn't related to Aquaman, so Aquaman getting with a sistah won't be the issue. However I'm not sure if I've ever seen any Atlanteans of color.

Also, Aqualad isn't pointless. He actually has more abilities than Aquaman. But who knows which abilities they will give him on the show. For example, on Justice League Martian Manhunter does not have the ability to shoot energy beams from his eyes but he does have that ability in comics. They took away this ability to keep him from being too similar to Superman.
