No surprise here.
Hallmark's decision to introduce a new line of cards for conservative Christian groups who accuse the company of promoting immoral behavior.
Hallmark is releasing four cards specifically for same-sex couples in response to increasing demand after gay marriage was legalized in California in May.
Tim Wildmon, president of the Tupelo, Miss.-based American Family Association, called Hallmark's decision ''apalling.''
''I'm pretty jaded now with everything I've seen, but Hallmark is synonymous with all-American . . . wholesomeness,'' Wildmon said. ''So this does surprise me that they want to get into the culture wars.'' has drawn criticism from
No, Timmy, it surprise me that you and your group are still thinking America is this pure nation. Well, face it. We're nowhere near wholesome and pure. We are about sinful and filthy as they come. That's the America I know.
"I'm not sure what she brings to the ticket other than she's a woman and a conservative. Well, she's a better speaker than McCain. People will say she hasn't been on the national scene long enough. But I believe she's a quick study."
Faye Palin admitted she enjoys hearing Barack Obama speak, and still hasn't decided which way she'll vote.
With the storms hitting the Gulf states, I hope that everyone is safe and out of there. This must be hard for the families who just got their lives back together. I can not imagine what they're going through.
And I'm glad Obama and McCain are trying to help the residents of those states. However, I hope that FEMA will be on their toes this time. They said that they are ready, but I don't know, they have screwed up and over so many people already.
Then, they're families and people who can't leave. They either have nowhere to go or can't afford to leave. Once again they're trapped between losing everything and losing everything. I believe they are afraid to leave because they don't trust the system.
The government failed big time with Katrina, why wouldn't they believe it will happen again. They need hope and trust back in the lives. As I said before, I can not imagine what they are going through, but my heart goes out to them.
Well, we hung out in the line for about 40 minutes, talked to the faithful viewers who spend every Saturday night at the Nuart Theater (Rocky's Home). Then we watched everyone dance, grind, play "virgin" games on stage, and then the movie started.
Now, I haven't seen this movie straight through since I hosted it in Murray State in 2001. And a lot has changed. Mostly with the talkbacks to the screen. There are the original talkbacks, and then there are individual talkbacks that didn't make much sense. So, I felt bad for the virgins, because they couldn't hear the movie at all. One of my friends was a virgin, so on the way back, we had to explain the plot to him.
But in all, it was a good experience and a good night. I recommend everyone to see this movie with the interactive audience. But if you haven't seen it, see the movie first with friends, then see with the crazies.

“I love ‘Guitar Hero’ and I think it’s a part of pop culture. I would love to do a ‘Guitar Hero’ movie, if Activision would ever let me. I’m trying to convince them, but why would you have a movie screw up such a huge franchise? Not that I would make a bad movie. So that would be cool, to do a ‘Guitar Hero’ movie. ”
And here is his idea for the plot:
“It could be about a kid from a small town who dreams of being a rock star and he wins the ‘Guitar Hero’ competition. One of these dreams-[come-true] kind of concepts.”
Well, this week we will be plagued with the new 90201. According to this article, it will bring new elements and surprises.
For starters, they're sticking with what works. The premise of the two shows is nearly identical: A Midwestern family, whose last name begins with a W, relocates to Beverly Hills, California. The brother and sister are in the same class, and the family encounters a myriad of fish-out-of-water experiences.
The similarities don't end there. Nostalgic fans of the old show will be glad to know the original theme song is back (with less synthesizer, one would imagine), as is the Peach Pit, the gang's regular hangout, which has evolved from a diner to a trendy coffee shop. Also back: Peach Pit owner Nat, again played by Joe E. Tata.
Tata will be joined on the new series by original cast member Shannen Doherty, reprising her role as Brenda Walsh, who returns to West Beverly Hills High to direct a high school musical. And, in a possible bridge between old and new characters, rumor has it the character of Erin Silver (David and Kelly's infant stepsister) will return as a regular "all grown up" (read: promiscuous) cast member, with a YouTube-like Web series.
Okay, so basically...this is a waste. There's nothing new or exciting about another show that showcase rich, white, sex staved teens, and their flawed parents. I live in L.A., I see that stuff enough already.
In New York, they are going to have a Straight Pride Parade. In response to the artists and sponsors, Jonny McGovern, aka Gay Pimp wrote an alarming rap/poem. It's getting mixed reviews, but I'm kind of lost with this one. What do y'all think?
In my own city, a serial killer is on the loose. Detectives believe this person has killed at least 11 people, many of them prostitutes, over a 23-year period.
Los Angeles Police Deputy Chief Charlie Beck said DNA evidence and ballistics tests have convinced detectives that the same killer is connected to the slayings in Los Angeles and Inglewood.
The victims were prostitutes or drug users who were sexually assaulted and then shot and dumped in alleyways or inside dumpsters, police said.
The most recent killing -- in January 2007 -- was tied exclusively to DNA analysis to another case after 13 years. However, detectives have not been able to identify the killer through state or federal DNA databases of convicted felons.
So they are still out here

If you think about it, she's the new Harriet Miers or Dan Quayle. Is McCain really that stupid? It's not enough that he insulted women everywhere, but it seems he didn't do his homework.
Great Hera, I can't help but to laugh every time I think about her leading the country.
Oh, McCain. You made my day.
John McCain first met Sarah Palin just 6 months ago and had just 1 conversation with her before offering her the vice presidential slot on the Republican ticket!
He just met this happy homemaker only once! This is sheer MESS!
So, this means several things
- He is desperate
- She has no real experience, but the only fool to join his cracked out campaign
- He's willing to jeopardized our country for a last minute crowd appeal
- The repubs are scared sh**less
- Obama will win
So McCain picks Gov. Sarah Palin as his Veep.
Sarah Palin? Who is she?
Well she's...well, not a powerful woman but she's something.
Sarah Palin is a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association and takes part in two of the state's popular pastimes -- fishing and hunting, according to her biography on the governor's Web site. Palin has focused on energy and natural resources policy during her short stint in office, and she is known for her support of drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.
And her career stuff is this: Television sports reporter, 1987-89; co-owner, commercial fishing operation, 1988-2007; owner, snow machine, watercraft and all-terrain vehicle business, 1994-97; chairwoman, Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, 2003-2004.
Not much, but she's pro-life and a christian. But seriously, where did he find her? This former beauty queen is not as skilled or aware of the nation. Her experience is lacking and she a unknown outside of Alaska.
McCain's hope of reaching women voters may have fallen short. She represents the woman of the past. Rice would have been the super choice, but this woman? Please, she just another christian soccer mom who runs a state that's darker before dawn. Plus, who you want a Veep, who could be Prez with no experience? She HAS NONE!
McCain, honey, not a good choice. Oh, and she currently under investigation in her own state...shady, shade.

Don't Stop Believing is a classic song. I think most of us love it and have it somewhere in music collection. Tonight, I heard it on the radio as I was driving on La Brea. Instantly, I thought about Brian, a 13 year-old boy that changed my life.
In 1986, my family went Ripley, TN for Thanksgiving at my step-father's mother's home. I was 12 and silly, with my Kodak camera and snake-skinned fannypack. I thought I was the bomb and fashionable (wrong). But during our visit, I hung out with my somewhat cousins. While we were sitting on the curb, Brian and his younger brother walked up.
Brian was so cute. He had dark hair, green/blue eyes, and muscular build. I quickly start liking him and it was the first time I was cool with liking a guy. In fact, I was all tinglily inside when I shook his hand.
We all walked around the neighborhood, throwing rocks and picking up sticks around the way. Brian came from a poor family. His dad worked all night, while his mom stayed home. The one thing he had that was a huge deal to him, was his Honda Spree. His dad won it at the country fair and gave to him and his brother.
During the our walk, Brian and I walked ahead of the others. He asked me if I was rich, since we had a Cadillac. I told him no, I asked him about his life. He said that he wanted to go into the army and be like Sgt Slaughter. At the time, I thought it could happen. He could've said that he wanted to be a genie and I would've gave him a pop bottle.
After talking and walking, he took me on a ride on his scooter. I remember holding on to him, smelling his hair and the sweat on his neck. I told him to go faster and he told me to hold on. And I did.
Later in his room, we looked through his Garbage Pail Kids cards and Transformers. His room was small and smelled like boy's room. He had a poster of Bon Jovi and record player on top of a dresser with a missing drawer. He turned on the radio and pulled out some Oreo cookies from under his bed. As we ate the cookies and played with his Transformers, Don't Stop Believing came on.
For some reason, the song made me feel...cute. I felt like we were on a date, sharing stale cookies and chilling on his bed. Afterwards we joined the others, along with more kids and played hide-go -seek. Every time, we hid together. Then in the final game, we hid in a shed. Brian was behind me and I was trying not to get too close. But when I felt his boner, I could've died. Then out of nowhere, he pulled me to him and said, "can I do it?". And I said "yes".
Suddenly he was dry humping me, kissing my neck, and squeezing my hips. I was in Heaven, for about 10 minutes, I was there. Until his brother found us. He didn't noticed anything, but I noticed a small wet spot in front of Brian's pants. I didn't know what that meant at the time, but I never forgot it.
Then it was time to go back home in Union City, Brian took me behind my family's house and hugged me and said, "don't tell anyone." and I said, "I won't, I promise." And just like that I was on my way home.
When I went to bed, the same song, Don't Stop Believing came on. And since then it was considered my first date song. I never saw Brian again, but I will never forget him. I will never forget our sticky sweet innocent/lust ridden night. It was the first time I felt good about liking guys. It would be a long time before I would feel like that again; but I was glad I had that moment.
I am amazed to see this. There are over 85,000 people at this stadium, waiting to hear Obama. I am truly overwhelmed over this event.
People want change. I just hope people are ready for Obama and for the next step in our lives.
Why is Daddy Yankee relevant ? And how in the hell was he in the 100 most influential people in 2006 by Time mag rag.
Since he endorse McCain, he pretty much sealed the deal in ending his career. But really, who cares.
After last night, I realized I still have a crush on Bill Clinton. I always thought of him as the sly frat boy who turn politician overnight. There's something about him that still gets me.
Maybe the power, the accent, or his cigar. I don't know...he still sexy to me. If I was in Monica's shoes (or dress) , I would've kept it a tight. No one would've known. All I would ask for is my student loans to paid off and a house for my mama.

Great lesbian activist Del Martin, died today in San Francisco. She was 87. Phyllis Lyon, Martin's partner of 55 years will continue representing their love and their activism.
"Ever since I met Del 55 years ago, I could never imagine a day would come when she wouldn't be by my side. I am so lucky to have known her, loved her and been her partner in all things," Lyon said. "I also never imagined there would be a day that we would actually be able to get married.
"I am devastated, but I take some solace in knowing we were able to enjoy the ultimate rite of love and commitment before she passed."They met in 1950 in Seattle, Washington, where they worked as editors of construction trade publications. They fell in love, moving in together on Valentine's Day 1953.
Martin fought to have the American Psychological Society declare that homosexuality is not a mental illnesses and advocated on behalf of battered women.
In 1955, the couple founded the nation's first lesbian organization, the Daughters of Bilitis, and launched the first lesbian publication, The Ladder.
In the 1960s, they tried to get California lawmakers to introduce anti-discrimination bills and persuaded some police officers to stop harassing gays and lesbians at bars as part of a group Martin co-founded called the Council on Religion and the Homosexual.
Martin was also a founding member of several other organizations, including the Lesbian Mother's Union, the San Francisco Women's Centers and the Bay Area Women's Coalition. She and Lyon were co-founders of the first gay political group in the United States, the Alice B. Toklas Democratic Club, named for author Gertrude Stein's long-time partner.
After she and Lyon were the first lesbians to join the National Organization for Women with the couples' membership rate, Martin was the first open lesbian to be elected to NOW's board of directors. From that spot, she was instrumental in guiding the organization to pass a resolution recognizing lesbian issues as feminist issues.
She will be missed, and never forgotten.
Hillary released her delegates to Obama!
"It is traditional that we have nominations, that we have a roll call, that we have candidates who look for ways to make sure we come out of here ready to win in November," she said. "As part of that tradition, I am here today to release you as my delegates."
Now lets get the party started!
I rant over PUMAs and other Hillary Terrorists, but I finally saw something a bit different Anne Price-Mills. I understood her pain, but still, she needs to get it together.
Oh, and listen to the speech again, since Hill-Hill told them to support for Obama.
Foolish is, as foolish does.
Fred Phelps, of the stupid Westboro Baptist Church plans on protesting the funeral of the former Congresswoman, Stephanie Tubbs Jones. Why? Hell, they don't even know, but on their website GodHatesFags.com, they said:
“We will be there at the funeral of this evil woman – Representative, Stephanie Tubbs Jones. This country stood by as she voted to criminalize the word of God!! ... She is in a HELLA TROUBLE as her sentence is just beginning, you know.”
Phelps...just go to Hell, please.
Every once in a while, I hear people saying that they don't know Obama. That he needs to show folks just who he is. And I'm like: This ain't your cousin! This is a man running for president. And honestly do we actually know all our cousins?
Anyway, I believe we need to focus on what he stands for. We will never know him, but we can try to trust him. We should focus on his beliefs, his platform, his work, and his leadership. I don't care if I can invite him to a BBQ, I care if he can be invited to a foreign country. I care if he keeps us out of a recession, I care if he can provides jobs for people. That's what people should be concerned about.
I've always hated the foolishness notions about having a beer with the president or if I can go to Applebee's with the president. The reality is, you can't! The president has to run a country, not take some fool out to Wendy's. I think folks has to do 2 things to get a better understanding.
- Read. Actively search for truthful info about Obama or McCain. Find out what they stand for and drawn your conclusions from there.
- Ask yourself, what is it I need to know and is it relevant to the issues. As Hill-Hill said and I've said time and time again. It's not about "you". It's about the country. Once some folks see that, then we can go out here and when this election.

"No way. No how. No McCain. Barack Obama is my candidate. And he must be our president!"
You know, although she got on my nerves and pushed my buttons, I still respect Hill-Hill. She is an incredible woman and her works are truly historic.
I appreciate the fact that she touched on the reasons why we should vote for Obama. I like that she talked about why we should be in this election. It's not about her and she said that, and I applaud her.
I will support Hill-Hill and I hope she will stick around to help Obama and help the country.
A study states that legalized same-sex couple relationships appears to last longer than those without a legal status.
Conducted by researchers from the University of Washington, San Diego State University and the University of Vermont, the study is the first to examine the experiences of couples in the five years since Vermont legalized civil unions.
The Vermont study followed-up on a 2002 project that was the first to focus on legalized relationships of same-sex couples in the US, following establishment of civil unions in Vermont in 2000.
Sixty-five male and 138 female couples who entered into civil unions during the first year they were available were asked to provide information. They were compared to 23 male and 61 female couples not in civil unions and 55 heterosexual married couples who were related to the same-sex couples in civil unions.
Same-sex couples not in civil unions were more likely to have ended their relationship than same-sex couples in civil unions or heterosexual married couples in the study. This finding supports earlier research by Lawrence Kurdek at Wright State University and by Green, Bettinger, and Zacks at Alliant International University that compared same-sex unmarried and heterosexual married couples and found marriage was linked to longer lasting relationships.
This is very interesting info, but I wonder if legalized couples fair well in major cities...like Los Angeles, New York, or Boston. I'm curious to know more.
Okay, okay I know and you know, I detest all Hillary Terrorist Groups. I don't understand their need for attention or their cause. Well... they want Hill-Hill in office, I get that. After she said that she's supports Obama, they are still fighting.
But for what?
She has said she will support Obama and they unapologetically threatened to disrupt the DNC, whether she wants it or not. But wasn't that the point? They are supposed to follow her and respect her decisions. Why are they trying to go against their champion? What in hell are they trying to accomplish? It's not even about Hill-Hill anymore, it's about them. And that my friends, is selfish and childish.
Hillary Terrorist Groups, the cause is done, in fact they have defeated yourselves. If their queen
has stepped aside, then why are they still around? Why are they threatening our party? It just doesn't make any sense. I heard a Hillary supporter say, I don't care what she wants. Well, you should, because you are her supporter and if she says jump, you ask how high.
This is foolishishness, y'all plain and simple. They need to ask themselves, is this about democracy are is this about me. If the answer is "you" then you got it all wrong.

Michelle nailed it tonight! I felt her message and felt her heart. What this woman represents is hope and a voice. Voice of many Black women, mothers, people and a future. I was moved by her and empowered by her words.
She will be a great first lady and a great leader among us. Michelle, is what I hoped for, is what I believe in, is what our women can look up to and follow.
I feel you, Michelle, I feel you.
No, that's all I'm saying. And here's why:
The Oscar-winner will join a cast that includes Johnny Depp as The Riddler as she plays the whip-carrying burglar. The character has also been played by Michelle Pfeiffer and Halle Berry.
A studio executive said: "Cher is Nolan's first choice to play Catwoman. He wants to her to portray her like a vamp in her twilight years.
I hope this is a rumor, or a cruel joke. Cher? No! Wait, No!
Stick to her hooker-turn-petty thief roots and let Jada Pinkett-Smith, Charisma Carpenter, Caryn Peterson, or Carrie Ann Moss be contenders for the role. But Cher? I don't think so.
A man wanted on charges of sexually assaulting a Jacksonville 4-year-old in May, was arrested last week in Virginia Beach, the U.S. Marshals Office announced on Monday.
Earlier this month, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office asked for help from the U.S. Marshals Regional Task Force for help locating Jeffrey Michael Mitchell, who officials said always wears black clothing and believes he is a vampire.
Federal agents said Mitchell was so consumed with this belief, he capped his teeth so that he would appear as a vampire and referred to himself as "Draven."
When he was arrested, two minor children were in his home and federal agents and local law enforcement agencies are investigating allegations of sexual molestation charges in Virginia.
A study from 475 University of Michigan undergraduates ages 17 to 26 found that 27% of the men and 14% of the women who weren't in a committed relationship had offered someone favors or gifts -- help prepping for a test, laundry washing, tickets to a college football game -- in exchange for sex. On the flip side, 5 percent of the men surveyed and 9 percent of the women said they'd attempted to trade sex for such freebies.
Really, for football game tickets? I could understand a house, erasing student loan debt, Uncanny X-Men 94 in mint condition, but for college football tickets!
I guess it all about priorities. I had to think if I have done this to some degree, and I think I did for affection when I was in my teens. But I want to say I would put out for much more these days.
Now I'm curious, has anyone out there bartered sex for favors? Let me know
In Arkansas, they have successfully added the banning gays and lesbians from becoming foster parents or adopting on the November ballot. At the same time, they also added the banning unmarried couples from adopting as well.
"Arkansas needs to affirm the importance of married mothers and fathers," Family Council President Jerry Cox said. "We need to publicly affirm the gold standard of rearing children whenever we can. The state standard should be as close to that gold standard of married mom and dad homes as possible."
Well Jerry Cox-in-a-box, it's not your will to do so. Just who do you think you are determining who will raise a child. I feel like reality is never considered in these things. The truth is marriage does not equal a perfect family. In fact, many screwed up kids come from married mothers and fathers. It's absurd to think otherwise.
But all hope isn't lost. is campaigning against the measure and may file a lawsuit to keep it off the ballot. The group has found numerous signatures that should have been rejected by the state as invalid and that they challenge the constitutionality of the measure.
So we will see what happens next, I will be watching.
Paul Colichman, the man who owns The Advocate and Out magazines, GayWired.com, and Here!, cable network for gays (which should be shunned for it's lame attempts at Horror), was a huge a Hill-Hill guy and then moved over to Obama. Until he watched the Rev. Warren show 2 weekends ago.
I thought, 'Wow! He just threw the gay community under the bus! My partner looked over at me, and we tore up the check. "If we always vote for the lesser of two evils, if we accept their crumbs and platitudes, if we write checks to candidates who don't stand up for us, aren't we being self-destructive?"
No, you're being self-destructive when you don't know nothing about the candidates. If Paulie knew Hill-Hill then he would've known that she too, thinks marriage is between a man and a woman. Also, to not vote for the candidate that would work with us, is destructive as well. So Paul, maybe you should tape that check up and send it out.
Josh Schwartz, who created the teen-aged Dynasty (Gossip Girl) hates the ads for the show. I'm very happy he feels that way, considering the tastelessness of the content. The ads have not helped the show or excite peeps to watch, and he fears for the worst.
“Those are actual quotes,” he said at a party marking the show’s second season, in Sag Harbor. “The network came up with that, and I just stand back. I don’t want anything to do with it.” After all, he knows the show is racy, but the ads reduce it to mere provocation. “It’s like, What am I doing? It’s bad. It feels bad. It’s wrong. When you drive by a poster for your show and it says, ‘Every parent’s nightmare,’ you have mixed feelings.”
Well, Josh my feelings aren't mixed, they are the same. Hate it. But I like Chuck, though.
The DNC starts today marking a historic time as we officially nominate Obama as the man. His lovely wife, Michelle will speak today, followed by Howard Dean, Nancy Pelosi, and Jesse Jackson Jr.
And along with the drama comes the DRAMA as protesters and spoilers are ready to play in the big game of politics.

Hill-Hill will give her delegates to Obama. It's set and clear, but it's interesting that Florida and Mich will get full voting rights at the event.
Now I know some folks would love it if Hill-Hill pulls the mid-season sweeps card, and tries to steal the nomination, but here are reasons why she won't do it.
- She needs the support of the Dems. If she pulls a stunt like that she will lose their backing and the allies she ever had. Plus Peloski will stop her.
- The people are Obama strong, she knows if this happens she will lose and the Clinton legacy will be over.
- She is in debt!
- PUMAs will be stalked and attacked with rotten turtle eggs.
- She will not put the trust of the government in rocky waters. If world hates us now, do you think they would trust us if we are doublecrossing our own major elections. Hell, they may just bomb us and call it a mercy killing.
- She wants to be respected. If she does the dirty deed, she will be the evil queen and that's the last thing she wants.
- And she will reinterate the woman scorned stereotype.
