Saturday Night, Disco Night

Back in the day, Soul Train ruled Saturday nights. And since I'm chilling at home watching Soul Train reruns (thanks to TIVO), I thought I would share some Soul Train lines with y'all

I remember it too. Started watching in the mid 70's.

Of course that tapered off a bit when MTV came around, and MTV tapered off when BET carried music vids in the early 80's.

I remember when MTV and VH1...and CMT used to play music videos. Sad. Now, they ladle out "celebreality," redneck remodeling, and whatever MTV has on TV.

I miss music videos.

Some really good dancers in that group. I have to admit that I was glad to see the "whistle-blowers" go out of fashion. Nothing ruins your hearing like being next to someone on the dance floor blowing a whistle. Ouch!!
It always reminded me of someone having to make noise saying,"Hey, tweet, tweet, look at me, tweet, tweet!! " ;-)

Yeah, the whistle is a bit much, but I like it a little.
