What this Aaron Schock Sandal says about Us

You have all the posts about Aaron Schock and his 'outing'. It has been very interesting and very telling about our community in so many ways.

I mean, seriously, the way this rumor attracted drama was crazy. We haven't seen a lick of proof about Aaron being gay and all of a sudden, we are asking for his head on a silver platter? Really, folks? Let me list some of the issues I have with this entire thing.

• First of all, the way Itay brought this story up was tacky. It was some Beauty Shop type of gossip and then gave us no proof of his claims. What self-respectful journalist does that? Oh, I know, messy ones.
• That post about Aaron's 7 gayest Instagram pics was childish and tacky. Yes, we all have laughed at Aaron's fashion choices, Hera knows I have. But to stereotype him like that is ridic. The way AmericaBlog did that was no different than straight guys picking of the effeminate kid.
• Reading some of the comments on other posts were very disturbing. We have some truly angry and misguided folks in our community. Child, if you want to see what sadness looks like, check out some of those comments. It will make you think about who is reading our blogs.
• We seem thirsty for drama. Every little thing Aaron was doing, like locking up his social media accounts meant he was hiding his sexuality. Whatever, we all have blocked someone, locked our FB or Twitter accounts to protect out pics and posts. Plus, there was a post about his Instagram pics, why wouldn't he lock those up after all of that?
• What does outing him really accomplish? Who wins? What's gained? The truth is, no one wins. No one. Yeah, we are pulling him out, but what does that really do for our movement? We can keep telling ourselves that outing him because of his anti-gay record is good, but what it really does and set up more misunderstanding about our community.
• All of this energy put on Aaron, could be place on something else. 
• If he is a self-hating gay, then he will suffer. That's his personal Hell, not ours. If he is gay, let him deal with his self-hating ways. The pain of that will eventually eat away at him.

Our thirst for his suffering is a bit much. If he's gay, then he's gay. We continue to live and breathe. We will hold him accountable for his actions, but let's this sleeping jackal lie. No need to pick up the fleas from this mess.

Doctor Diagnoses patient as Gay

It is too early for this mess.

Matthew Moore went to the doctor for a check-up and that doctor diagnosed him with "Homosexual behavior".

No joke. Matthew said:

"When I look up code 302.0 and its sexual deviancy or mental illness, and that code has been removed or suggested heavily not to be used since 1973. My jaw was on the floor. At first, I kind of laughed, I thought, 'Here's another way that gay people are lessened and made to feel less-than,' and then as I thought about it and as I dealt with it, it angered me."

Matthew went back to the doctor's office to confront her about this 'condition'.  And believe it or not, that doctor actually defended her position. She said that his condition "is still up to debate" and that the sexual orientation is "still being thought of as a disease."

I think this doctor needs to be called to the carpet. To say something like this is ridiculous, just pure ridiculous. I hope Matthew holds her ass accountable.

The $24.5 million project will be constructed by the same team that built the Creation Museum.The religious ministry is soliciting online donations to help construct the project, which they expect to draw an estimated 1.6 million visitors per year.

Ken Ham, president and CEO of Answers In Genesis, cites poll data showing that an estimated 63 percent of Americans would visit a full-scale replica of Noah's Ark if one were built in the U.S."We see a full-scale, wooden ark as something so significant that it will shake up this nation," Ham said. "It would be a clear reminder to America about the truths of the Bible. 

The building of a huge ark is a unique and powerful opportunity to reach millions in our nation (and around the world) with a bold statement: God's word is true."

Almost 25 million dollars for this mess! Well, if that's the idea; why don't they build a full scale Hall of Justice. That will promote "Truth and Justice for all Mankind"

Pastor Terry Jones is an Asshole

This man needs to be frozen in toilet water for life.

Pastor Terry Jones has organized an "International Burn a Quran Day" on September 11. And this fool has asked some militia to protect his silly church.

The Dove World Outreach Center in Gainesville, Florida, says it is hosting the event to remember 9/11 victims and to take a stand against Islam. With promotions on its website and Facebook page, the nondenominational church invites Christians to burn the Muslim holy book.

Dove's Facebook page, set up for the September event, has nearly 6,000 fans. The initiative has also drawn critics.

Dove World Outreach Center Pastor Terry Jones has accepted the support of Right Wing Extreme, which he said offered to come to the church with between 500 and 2,000 men on September 11. He described the organization as an armed civilian militia group.

"There is a need for this protection. It is absolutely necessary in light of the death and terror threats we have received," Jones said in an e-mail to CNN.

"We have met with the FBI who have warned us of the threats they have seen, not only against us but against other targets in Florida. We have personally received threats by phone and many by mail," he said.

No one from Right Wing Extreme was immediately available to comment on Tuesday.

This whole beheading story was a hoax?

Here's some info from Box Turtle Bulletin:

The story seemed solid. I first saw it on the Episcopal pro-LGBT site for Changing Attitudes , in a post written by the Rev. Colin Coward, who is the founder and director of the U.K.-based organization. I also found two Uganda media reports that confirmed that a headless body and a body-less head were found on and near a farm owned by the Uganda Electoral Commission chairman Badru Kiggundu. With three separate sources, that seemed like confirmation enough for me to go forward with yesterday’s story about a Ugandan LGBT Advocate found beheaded.

We Americans (and Westerners in general) can be a myopic bunch. Our ignorance about the rest of the world renders us naïve as a people, and vulnerable to scams and hoaxes. Nigerian scam artists figured this out more than a decade ago. And that is what this story appears to be, another scam.

Here is what we do know: a young man was brutally murdered, that he was mutilated and his head was cut off and dumped into a latrine. That much is true. But we have now confirmed that the young man had no connections with Integrity Uganda. Furthermore, the story about the missing Rev. Henry Kayizzi Nsubuga’s disappearance following a pro-LGBT sermon also appears increasingly unlikely. Yes, the man is reported to be missing, but so far the only sources indicating that he gave a pro-LGBT sermon are from Rev. Coward himself and the virulently anti-gay Anglican web site Virtue Online. In short, there is almost nothing about the article published by Rev. Coward that appears credible. And the more I dig into this story, the greater the likelihood it appears to me that the story may have been planted by an anti-gay activist who has defrauded to LGBT community in the past.

I have tried to contact Rev. Coward for comment and to ask him where he got his story, but so far he hasn’t returned my email.

Dr. Ron Kirkland and Randy Smith are Assholes

In my home state of Tennessee, foolishness is always given in abundance. And Dr. Ron Kirkland and Randy Smith have plenty to give.

These Republican candidates were at a Tea Party forum, talking about Obama and other mess Repubs hate.

When the issue of DADT came up, this what they had to say:

Kirkland, a Vietnam veteran, said of his time in the military: "I can tell you if there were any homosexuals in that group, they were taken care of in ways I can't describe to you."

Smith, who served in the first Iraqi war, added: "I definitely wouldn't want to share a shower with a homosexual. We took care of that kind of stuff, just like (Kirkland) said."

Really? They took care of stuff like that... That's going to win you votes, guys. Well, this sparked a backlash and groups like The Tennessee Equality Project is demanding an apology.

Kirkland has not apologized and Smith said he was joking, but has not apologized.

Today the blog WNYmedia.net published a series of bombshell emails that Paladino sent around or forwarded on to friends, associates and coworkers.

These emails run the gamut from your standard email chain smut to greatly disturbing racist imagery.

Many of the latter type of emails targeted President Obama and his wife Michelle.

I am writing to urge you not to proceed with the Senate Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act under a so-called "deem and pass" rule because such a course of action would raise grave constitutional questions.

Based upon media interviews and statements which I have seen, you are considering this approach because it might somehow shield members of Congress from taking a recorded vote on an overwhelmingly unpopular Senate bill.

This is an improper purpose under the bicameralism requirements of Article I, Section 7 of the U.S. Constitution, one of the purposes of which is to make our representatives fully accountable for their votes. Furthermore, to be validly enacted, the Senate bill would have to be accepted by the House in a form that is word-for-word identical (Clinton v. City of New York, 524 U.S. 417 (1998)).

Should you employ the deem and pass tactic, you expose any act which may pass to yet another constitutional challenge. A bill of this magnitude should not be passed using this maneuver. As the President noted last week, the American people are entitled to an up or down vote.
