WTF? Homophobic Men are Aroused by Gay Porn?

Well, now we know what some straight guys do when they're alone... They are watching gay porn. Okay, maybe not, but this bit of info from Psychology Today is interesting.

One study asked heterosexal men how comfortable and anxious they are around gay men. Based on these scores, they then divided these men into two groups: men that are homophobic, and men who are not. These men were then shown three, four minute videos.
One video depicted straight sex, one depicted lesbian sex and one depicted gay male sex. While this was happening, a device was attached to the male participant's penises. This device has been found to be triggered by sexual arousal, but not other types of arousal (such as nervousness, or fear - arousal often has a very different meaning in psychology than in popular usage).

When viewing lesbian sex and straight sex, both the homophobic and the non-homophobic men showed increased penis circumference. For gay male sex, however, only the homophobic men showed heightened penis arousal.

Heterosexual men with the most anti-gay attitudes, when asked, reported not being sexually aroused by gay male sex videos. But, their penises reported otherwise.

Homophobic men were the most sexually aroused by gay male sex acts.
Hmm, this explains a lot.

I have always said that homophobia exists from a fear of that which can't be controlled- this proves my point exactly! Why would a perfectly straight man care what 2 other men do in the bedroom- truth of the matter is, they don't. But homophobes, on the other hand, seem to have a strange fixation with what others are doing in the sheets. They have urges and feelings they can't control, so they speak out against the very thing that they hate about themselves as a coverup.

It's kinda like my Daddy used to say when someone farted: "He who smelt it, dealt it!"

It's only one study so I'll play devil's advocate here and say what the bigots will probably say:

No peer review, no repeatability.

Out of Devil's Advocate mode, of course we all knew this was the case. The most vicious homophobes are more likely to be severely repressed gays.

Look at this abreviated list of those who have railed against us and who turned out to harbor deeply hidden desires for other men:

Ted Haggard, George Rekers, Eddie Long, Tony Perkins, Porno Pete, et al.

So it's not hard to say you don't need to repeat this experiment since it has been proven out in real life situations over time.

Wow, it really damn does.

You don't have to be a psychologist to figure out what that means.

This is not the first study to show this effect. It has been repeated before...

And I do think that this study was peer-reviewed.
I don't think it means that EVER homophobic person is actually attracted to other men. Just the virulent, obsessive ones.

Not surprising!

One more data set to add to the growing collection of studies that turn the mirror on our oppressors and force them to look at themselves through there own actions, conceptions, and fears.

I remember a long time ago, I watched a special, and a similar test was done. . same subjects, homophobic men and non-homophobic heterosexuals.

They were individually tested, hooked up (their junk), and shown gay porn. Same results, and anyways, this should be known worldwide!

Do we need any more politicians to be caught at a bath house or a pastor of a mega church to be indicted? This will continue to happen . . . To sound a bit thirsty, I couldn't mind sitting around all day watching gay porn

I'm jus' sayin' lol
