I read about this school and I was in awe at the spirit of the students. The Catherine Ferguson Academy takes care of young pregnant girls and young mothers. They provide education, job planning and child care while these girls get themselves together.
However due to budget cuts and the economy in Detroit, the school was in danger of closing down. Please watch this video to get a better understanding of the story
