Rep. Anthony Weiner will Step Down

This is not the business. Sources say Rep. Wiener will step down.

From Politico

Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y.) will resign from his seat in Congress, heeding calls from President Barack Obama, House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio), House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and dozens of other congressional Democrats, sources confirm to POLITICO. The resignation ends nearly three weeks since the New York congressman sent a lewd picture of himself over Twitter which he claimed at first was a result of a hack and later admitted he had sent himself.

NBC News reported that Weiner’s staff left his Washington office early Thursday, shutting off the lights and locking the door.
I wish he would stay. His constituents want him too. Stick with it, Weiner!

I think it's a damn shame the way his fellow dems threw him under the bus. Repubs have stuck by their own for worse crimes. He harmed no one and it wasn't even illegal. Dems should be ashamed.

I really wanted him to stay, too. He was an eloquent spokesperson for the middle class and our fiercest anti-Repub advocate in Congress. Who will replace his fire?
It's sad that Dems caved into Repub pressure. They never care about any pressure we exert. SO I guess it is fine to take corporate money and represent corporate interests above the interest of the people on the floors of Congress, but not to play e-footsy with consenting adults in the privacy of your own hotel room. What a hypocrisy.
