What's funny is that based on these clips I would have picked Margot Kidder too, but it would have been interesting to see Stockard Channing's take. Her audition seemed so bubbly and different, like she was playing a newspaper gal from the 20s.
Which I guess was part of the problem.
I was going to say the same exact thing Junior said! I would've totally picked Margot Kidder based on these clips, and although I can't see anyone else in the role, I would've been very interested to see Stockard Channing's take on her.

This falls on the line of Sarah from Buffy was suppose to be playing Cordelia.
I sorta would have gone with Anne Archer actually...lol. But I love Margot Kidder!
