Steven Slater wants his Job Back

Gawker reports:

Slater's lawyer, Howard Turman, held a press conference today outside Slater's home, during which Slater looked silently on. He told the press that Slater would like to keep being a flight attendant because flying "is in his blood." And he'd love to keep working for JetBlue:

"JetBlue is a wonderful airline which he has loved working for, and wishes to continue working for," said his lawyer.

I really don't know what a lawyer can do about getting his job back. He quit. I don't understand what the lawyer is doing.

He should have not went there and played himself like that. He took a stand and should move forward. Don't look back Steven.

This is the hangover after the tantrum. It's why people have self-control, Steven.

Ok and people in hell want ice water...

He endangered the lives of so many people by exhibiting childish behaviour that is less than becoming of someone who has flight attending "in his blood"...

Anyone who has served the public knows how demanding and outrageous some people can be in those situations. I think some people feel as though you're their servant and that they can treat you anyway that they want to.

The customer's behaviour speaks to many peoples lack of common courtesy and the flight attendant's behaviour speaks to a lack of coping skills.
Comapanies should teach courses on how to deal with unruley customers so that things like this don't happen in the future...

When you make a diva exit, you don't come back in through the same door you sashayed out of.
