Why Doesn't MTV Play Music Videos Anymore?

Says the YouTube vlogger lol. I'd love it they'd play videos more, but I doubt they'll go back to non-stop video format when it's so easy and quick to look it up online. It's not economical. But I do miss the anticipation of catching a new video for the first time.

All that said, MTV could still do shows/specials that revolve more around the music business/pop culture (Ultrasound, Biorhythm MTV News 1515--remember those?) and less on reality TV.

Here's what I find ridiculous about demographics.

There are at this moment more people over 30 in the U.S. than below. Yet they still market to the 18 to 25 set.

It's like marketing gone mad.

Now movies - yeah most of them are utter crap. If they do one more comic book, vampire, werewolf, or zombie movie they may as well just pay lots of money to all the people involved and not put it up on a screen.

There are TONS of good fiction out there that could be turned into a good movie. But Hollywood takes the low hanging fruit.

I don't care that they don't play music videos anymore. I just say change your name to reflect it. Why be Music Television if you don't play Music? That would be like BET playing nothing but All In the Family, the Brady Bunch and Friends.
