For a while now, folks have been all up in
Raven Symone's sexuality. Gossip blogs (the worst ones) has been labeling Raven as a lesbian and claiming she's dating a Top Model.
She's been quiet about it, until the other day on Twitter
Well, alright Raven.
Basically, she is saying until I want you to know, you won't know!

No, basically she is saying that until she is certain it won't harm her career, you won't know.
When you make your fortune acting a fool for kids, you have a lot of nerve demanding your right to privacy when a little personal info about you can probably help those young black kids inundated every day with homophobia from the black community and racism from within the gay community.
Blah blah blah, "It's my right..." blah, blah, blah. Shut the fuck up... Those kids are your meal ticket, throw them a bone.
Well she does have numerous role models - Queer L, Whitney H, Will S, Jada P S, Arsenio H, oh wait they're all not out. No wonder she doesn't feel safe or secure.
I can only think of Wanda Sykes as an out black performer. I know there are few singers but are any A list or have A list name recognition other then Wanda who btw came out very late, after she was married and after she had kids.
I'd prefer her to come out and be proud, healthy and helpful but it is her decision to make when she's ready. At least she's not faking or denying it.
I think she'd do wonders for young black and gay, men and women, if, she is, in fact, gay, by coming out.
Now everyone's gonna be up in her bid-ness.
I say it is her business and hers alone. A big part of the problem is that everyone is more concerned about other folks private business than they are with their own. Deal with your own business. To my knowledge none of us know Raven personally, she isn't selling herself on those television shows, she is selling whatever character she has been cast to play. Get yo life!
It's sad that we're conditioned to believe that a role model's sexual orientation could and should be kept private, like it's shameful. Otherwise it'd be as simple as admitting your true age or hair color.
