Marvel Comics Presents Avengers vs X-Men

Here's a description from CBR:
On a story level, the focus of 2009's X-Men "Second Coming" crossover, Hope Summers, will once again be the center of attention in "Avengers Vs. X-Men," as the presumed host for the returning Phoenix Force. In fact, it's the threat of the returning Phoenix Force that will instigate the conflict in the first place, Alonso says. "The Phoenix Force is the spirit of destruction and rebirth. It razes worlds to create something new. It's bad news if you happen to be living on the world about to be razed. It's great news if you're what's going to be the outcome of that world."

Also taking center stage is the Scarlet Witch, who, in many ways, instigated this conflict years ago when she used her reality-altering powers to all but erase mutantkind from the planet. Bendis, who scripts her story in the series' prologue issue, told the newspaper,"She's been on a road of almost impossible-to-perceive redemption over the last few years and now is going to come face-to-face with the Avengers."
This could be fun.

I really want my Jean Grey back! And I hope the Return of the Phoenix is NOT without the return of Jean.
I'm afraid of a red herring... where someone other than Jean or Hope harness' The Phoenix.
Although... what if Hope, Cable, X-Man, and Rachel all host a piece of the Phoenix, until Jean gets back... because she's the only one powerful enough to hold it. Just an idea.
Also, looking forward to Scarlet Witch coming back.

Also, i've always expected Hope Summers would die... but that would be like an old Legion of Super Heroes plot. So maybe not.

This should be good.

@Mecha-I don't think JEan was powerful enought ot handle it. More like she just had the best mental capacity and willpower to handle it. But to be fair Rachel Summers was running around with it for a WHILE! I do like your idea though. But you can remove Hope from the equation if we are sticking to the Summers bloodline thing. Also, Scarlet Witch has been back for a little bit now over in Young Avengers. And am I the only one who doesn't see the big deal with Hope. She basically seems to have the same power as Rogue without the passing out or touching and Synch without the rainbow aura. We didn't make that big a deal about them.
