Fellow buddy and reader, Wilson, clued me in on this hot piece of comic info. Since Peter Parker died in the 'Ultimate Spider-Man' comic, a new kid will take his place... And his name is Miles Morales.
And another thing, he's half Black and Hispanic. Here's more:

Bendis also credited Community actor Donald Glover's Twitter campaign last summer to play the movie version of Spider-Man — and subsequent appearance in the show's second season premiere in Spidey pajamas — as helping him realize he was on the right track.
"He looked fantastic!" Bendis told the newspaper. "I saw him in the costume and thought, 'I would like to read that book.' So I was glad I was writing that book."

I am not holding my breathe to see if they can actually make a great character...as opposed to fixating on his ethnic background.

Wow! I really suspected that Ult Spidey would be Donald Glover, just like Ult Nick Fury is Sam Jackson. But this is big news. They are really committed to the ULT Universe being bold and different from 616 Universe.
What took them so long? This is great.
