This is some bull mess. As Torchwood: Miracle Day continues, more folks complain about the gay sex scenes in the show:
More than 500 viewers complained directly to the broadcaster about ‘soft porn’ scenes in Thursday’s episode, which they said were ‘pointless’, irrelevant to the plot and out of place in a sci-fi show.
Dozens of fans vented their fury online and several have vowed to boycott the BBC1 show.
One viewer wrote online: ‘This show is meant to be a sci-fi show. I had to turn it off as my grandson, an avid sci-fi fan, was in the room.
'I am sure both myself and others are disgusted at last night’s show. Leave the gay scenes for the programmes more suited – not sci-fi.’Another accused the BBC of turning the show into ‘gay porn’ and a third wrote: ‘The homosexual content is totally out of proportion and so we have decided not to watch anymore.’
Then don’t watch! And when did sci-fi mean, for straight people only? This is so silly. In any other shows, like True Blood, Entourage, Skins or whatever, no one complains about the sexual content in those series. So please, save it for a meteor shower. If gay sex scenes scare you, get over it. Gay sex happens even in sci-fi worlds.

Amen!
They need to get Over It with a quickness. DON'T WATCH! Is simplicity outlawed now? I was just wondering. Ya'll go get YOUR shit, and leave this here shit of MINE alone!
Haven't seen Torchwood before then, have they? LOL!!
Seriously. 500 complaints = NOTHING. When the BBC ruined the cliffhanger for a DW episode last season with an animated Graham Norton, they had over 25,000 complaints.
They didn't realize the Capt. Jack was bi from the original series? Or from Dr. Who? Are we sure these are really sci-fi fans?
Perhaps we should boycott shows like Desperate Housewives or any of the soap operas that flaunt their heterosexuality.
It sounds like 500 self-loathing closeted homosexuals got caught watching that scene with one hand down their pants and they had to make a good show at being outraged.
Get over it, people.
I feel it's because they don't want too many white males to become cocksuckers. As yall know they don't call it programming for nothing. I think it's stupid. What the big deal.
Seems to me like some parents needed to do a little research into this import before letting their easily traumatized kids watch.
If a child is old enough to understand the plot of this show, as well as watch as people incinerate others to death on this show, they can deal with a little man on man action.
I would have thought a parent would have more of an issue with the scenes depicting burning people alive, open gaping non-healing wounds, hanging a man and killing him repeatedly, etc, etc.....
I would be positive that those other shows have gotten complaints about the sexual content. (I know for sure TrueBlood has.) But like you say, if they don't like it there are hundreds of other channels and things for them to switch over to.
