'Cute' is definitely not the word I would use. :-)
I'm a huge fan of the book this movie is based on, it's fantastic (and it's been translated into English, I recommend it strongly). I saw the movie a couple of weeks ago, it was very good, but not - of course - as good as the book. (I'll be posting a review of it on my blog very soon.) Still definitely worth seeing, though. But not in any way shape or form comparable to a 'teen movie' in the American sense. Just FYI. :-)
