V, looks like they are trying to focus on his empathy, much like Smallville does. Probably a good decision, as previous incarnations failed, I think, because they chose to ignore this very important part of Clark Kent/Superman.
Henry Cavill is a sexy looking man, I like the beard on him....wow.
