Back in the day, Soul Train ruled Saturday nights. And since I'm chilling at home watching Soul Train reruns (thanks to TIVO), I thought I would share some Soul Train lines with y'all

I remember it too. Started watching in the mid 70's.
Of course that tapered off a bit when MTV came around, and MTV tapered off when BET carried music vids in the early 80's.
I remember when MTV and VH1...and CMT used to play music videos. Sad. Now, they ladle out "celebreality," redneck remodeling, and whatever MTV has on TV.
Some really good dancers in that group. I have to admit that I was glad to see the "whistle-blowers" go out of fashion. Nothing ruins your hearing like being next to someone on the dance floor blowing a whistle. Ouch!! It always reminded me of someone having to make noise saying,"Hey, tweet, tweet, look at me, tweet, tweet!! " ;-)
Viktor is a small town southern boy living in Los Angeles. You can find him on Twitter, writing about pop culture, politics, and comics. He’s the creator of the graphic novel StrangeLore and currently getting back into screenwriting.

Yeah, the whistle is a bit much, but I like it a little.
