My Top 5 Actors of Color to be the next Doctor Who

Now that Matt Smith announced he's leaving Doctor Who, I thought it would be fun to pick a new Doctor.

But I'm doing this differently than most fanboys. I'm picking a more diverse group of actors. It's time to put some more color in the Tardis.

So, check out my top 5 pics for the next Doctor (of color) Who after the jump

Sendhil Ramamurthy

Zawe Ashton

Chiwetel Ejiofor
Naomi Harris

Daniel Dae Kim

Give it to Sendhil. He was great on Covert Affairs.

Anyone - I never warmed to Matt or his take on the Dr. Are they also replacing the writer?

You, I wasn't a big fan of Matt Smith, but now that he's leaving, I feel kinda sad. I like him better than Chris Eccleston. My question though...I thought Matt said he'd be back for Season 8? And does this mean Moffet will be leaving too? I hope so. The stories under his command are a bit cheap and tawdry.

As far as a Person of Color Doctor, I don't see it happening. Anything is possible I suppose.

I'll be totally honest...I've never watched Dr. Who. Yes, I know, I know...I'm the lowest lifeform. But if I had to cast the Dr. Who part based on your proposed selections...I have to pick Sendhil Ramamurthy...while Chiwetel Ejiofor has been a sexy favorite since "Serenity" and "Love, Actually" Sendhil has just the right amount of sexiness to make the Behr want to start watching.
