Mary Poppins: Who is she?
I don't know why I've been pondering about her, but I wonder what and who is Mary Poppins. For those of us that are comic book reading, Buffy lovers, Sci-Fi types, we always know what certain things or people are. We know about aliens, mystical weapons, demons, and monsters. But do we know about Mary?
So I start searching and looking around for info and this is what I found. Mary Poppins is a magical nanny who sweeps into the Banks home of Cherry Tree Lane and takes charge of the four Banks children. She never openly acknowledges her strange and magical powers, and feigns insult when one of the children refers to her previous adventures.
Okay, so what else is out there. She comes from nowhere, harboring these strange powers and has nanny experience. But where does her powers come from? I think she's a witch or a fairy of sorts. Maybe a genie! I don't know, but the curiosity is killing me. I think I'll make this a thesis.
