Eddie Redmayne to play a Transgender Artist

Eddie is stepping up his acting game.

In his next role, Eddie will play Einar Wegener, one of the first people known to have undergone sex reassignment surgery. The film is called "The Danish Girl."

Here's more:
Based on David Ebershoff’s fictionalised account of Elbe’s life, the story follows Danish painter Einar Wegener’s journey from posing in women’s clothes for his wife Gerda, played by Alicia Vikander, after a model failed to show up, to becoming a woman.

Lucinda Coxon has written the script, which Hooper first read while he was making 2010 Oscars hit, The King’s Speech.

“I was so moved by this true story. I have wanted to make the film ever since,” he told The Hollywood Reporter. “The Danish Girl is an extraordinary love story and a story about finding your true self.”

Amber Heard, Ben Whishaw and Matthias Schoenaerts also star in the film, which is already being tipped for next year’s awards season.
This looks like another hit for Eddie.

Raven Symone heads to Black-ish as Dre's Lesbian sister

Raven Symoné will be guest-starring on Black-ish as a gay character.

EW reports:
The actress/singer will play Rhonda, Dre’s (Anthony Anderson) gay sister, who is just as uncomfortable talking about her sexuality as Dre is. The two have a playful rivalry in which they jockey for position in their mother’s (recurring guest star Jenifer Lewis) rankings that are released every December. Yet, despite her closeness to Dre, she just won’t be the first one to bridge the sexuality gap between them. She’s happy to follow her older brother’s lead.
This should be good.

Would you be willing to Submit?

I just watched a screener of 50 Shades of Grey and I have to say it was... Interesting. But it did spark some questions for me.

As most of you know it highlights a Dom and Sub relationship. A Dom lays out the rules on what the sub can and can't do. So, I wonder... Could I be a sub? Would I sign a contract for someone to have complete control over me?

I mean, a lot folks do this all the time. I just learned about the "Pup" stuff a few weeks and it's a growing thing. But, again, could I do this? It looked all glamourous and sexy in the movie, but I not sure I could give someone that much control over me. From an early age, I was taught to always watch my actions, and stay in control. I can't imagine giving someone the ability to own me.

But is it that simple? Am I missing to the real point of it? Can you really gain pleasure from the lack of control? Perhaps, the real issue is my fear of losing control. It could be very exciting to put someone in charge of my sexual exploration; maybe it's liberating and challenging. I don't know... Is it something worth considering?

How about y'all, have any of you done this? Are still doing this?

Take a Look inside a Gay Conversion Camp

VICE take a look inside a Gay Conversion camp. Believe or not, these torture camps are real and can be found in almost every state in the country.

Here's more:
In this special report, VICE gets exclusive access to one of the hundreds of gay-conversion-therapy organizations, groups, and sessions in the United States. At the Journey into Manhood program, men pay more than $600 to attend a weekend retreat where they participate in exercises and activities the staff members claim will help them battle their same-sex orientation. The only qualification to become a staff member is to have successfully completed the program.

The report meets with the founder of reparative therapy, Dr. Joseph Nicolosi, who is illegally practicing on minors in the State of California, and investigates the controversial legal battle to fight conversion therapy for individuals under 18 years of age. We also travel to the annual Gay Christian Network Conference, speak with former "ex-gay" leaders including John Smid of Love in Action, who is now married to his gay partner, and hear the grueling stories of the individuals who have survived this brutal practice.

Interesting Quote: Retired Minor League pitcher Jason Burch

"Looking back, I wish I had told the whole world that I'm gay from day one. That feeling of being relied upon, that people must turn to you as a closer to make things right, to have that role - and to have people have that feeling about me in that role - as a gay man, I think that would have been a powerful message. If we are talking about changing people's opinions, I do think that would have been a powerful message. But I wasn't really thinking about that at the time."

From the CDC

In a first-of-its-kind analysis, CDC authors estimated the number of HIV transmissions in the U.S. attributable to people at five consecutive stages of HIV care (including with those who are unaware of their infection, those who are retained in care and those who have their virus under control through treatment). The video uses these data to illustrate the critical role of HIV testing, care, and treatment for protecting the health of those with HIV and for preventing transmission to others.

In Arkansas: Council approves LGBT protections for City Employees

Some good news in Arkansas, the Conway City Council voted 6-2 in favor of adding sexual orientation and gender identity protections for city employees.

Here's more:
In effect immediately as a result of an emergency clause, the ordinance generated public feedback from both supporters and opponents, who filled many of the seats at Russell L "Jack" Roberts District Court Building in downtown Conway.

During the meeting, Conway Mayor Tab Townsell said he and the city would not back down from affording extra protections for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community. He added that he was "proud" of the outcome.

Several in the audience, including two council members, expressed their desire for the topic to be tabled for a later date, allowing for more public input and more time for evaluation.
Again, it's some good news for the state, considering the mess they are going through.

Jem and the Holograms comic book introduce Kimber and Stormer as Gay

The Advocate did a great article about the upcoming Jem and the Holograms comic book. The comic’s creative team, writer Kelly Thompson and artist Ross Campbell shared a lot info about the comic including fan faves, Kimber and Stormer being gay.

Here's more
Will we see any LGBT characters?
Campbell: Definitely! Kimber and Stormer are gay and we’re discussing a few others. Beyond those I’m really hoping to see some more queer characters. It just really needs to happen. I’d love to have some gay Holograms or Misfits fans in the story. That would be awesome. Maybe they could be on the Holograms’ street team.
Thompson: We are definitely having LGBTA+ characters. Jem was always really diverse, but it was of course a bit limited by the time period and by being a children’s cartoon. It’s only natural that a modern Jem includes additional diversity. Kimber and Stormer are indeed both out gay characters in the comic and as Tumblr will very excitedly let you know, we’re going to be exploring a romantic relationship between the two characters. We have some other plans for LGBTA+ characters as well but it’s still early days and we’re still figuring out how some things can fit together to tell the best possible story.
True fans may remember the episode about all about these two. In the episode, they sung a song together called "I'm Okay", which became kind of a coming out anthem

So excited to see where this comic will go!

Justice Department declines to pursue charges against George Zimmerman

The Department of Justice just announced that they will not pursue federal criminal civil rights charges against George Zimmerman for the murder of Trayvon Martin.

Attorney General Eric Holder said they didn't find the “high standard for a federal hate crime prosecution.”

Here's more from HuffPo:

“The death of Trayvon Martin was a devastating tragedy. It shook an entire community, drew the attention of millions across the nation, and sparked a painful but necessary dialogue throughout the country,” Holder said. “Though a comprehensive investigation found that the high standard for a federal hate crime prosecution cannot be met under the circumstances here, this young man’s premature death necessitates that we continue the dialogue and be unafraid of confronting the issues and tensions his passing brought to the surface. We, as a nation, must take concrete steps to ensure that such incidents do not occur in the future."

The family of Trayvon Martin released this statement via USA TODAY:
"We remain poised to do everything in our power to help eradicate senseless violence in our communities, because we don't want any other parent to experience the un-explainable loss we have endured,'' the family said, referring to their continuing work with a foundation named for their son.

"We will never, ever forget what happened to our son, Trayvon, and will honor his memory by working tirelessly to make the world a better place."

Daryl Parks, an attorney for the Martin family, told USA TODAY the decision represented an "injustice.''

"Neither one of our systems was able to hold him (Zimmerman) accountable criminally for what he did."
The family can still sue Zimmerman if they want to, I guess we will see.

HUD issues Guidance on Home Lending and Transgender Access to Homeless Shelter

Here's the press release:

WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) issued guidance to better serve LGBT Americans seeking to obtain a home loan and transgender individuals seeking access to homeless shelters. These two sets of guidance will help clarify the Equal Access to Housing in HUD Programs Regardless of Sexual Orientation or Gender Identity Rule (Equal Access Rule), which was published in 2012. The Equal Access Rule ensures that housing across HUD programs is open to all eligible individuals regardless of actual or perceived sexual orientation, gender identity or marital status.

HUD’s guidance on program eligibility for HUD assisted and insured housing programs includes an equal access provision making clear that housing that is financed or insured by HUD must be made available without regard to actual or perceived sexual orientation, gender identity, or marital status. It also prohibits owners and operators of HUD-funded housing, or housing whose financing was insured by HUD, from inquiring about an applicant’s sexual orientation or gender identity or denying housing on that basis. In addition, the guidance also makes clear that sexual orientation and gender identity should not and cannot be part of any lending decision when it comes to getting an FHA-insured mortgage.

“It’s an injustice that any transgender person is mistreated when seeking help,” said HUD Secretary Julián Castro. “We issued this guidance so that shelter providers treat these Americans with the dignity they deserve. This measure is an important step in shaping a future where every person is accepted, respected and housed.”

HUD also issued guidance on how to best serve transgender persons in single-sex shelter facilities. The guidance will help address the fact that almost 40 percent of homeless youth are LGBT, and the majority of them report harassment, difficulty, or even sexual assault when trying to access homeless shelters. This guidance states that a transgender client’s or potential client’s own views with respect to personal health and safety deserve serious consideration when placing the person in a single sex shelter. “Not only does the guidance address appropriate placement of transgender individuals in single sex facilities, but it also guides providers on how best to address privacy and safety concerns within the facilities in ways that do not segregate or isolate transgender individuals.

The creation and implementation of the Equal Access Rule builds on HUD’s and President Obama’s commitment to expanding opportunity, advancing equality, and leveling the playing field for LGBT individuals and families. Since 2010, HUD has taken steps to strengthen LGBT protections, such as adopting the principle that gender identity discrimination is sex discrimination under the Fair Housing Act, adopting the requirement that applicants for competitive HUD funds must be in compliance with state and local LGBT nondiscrimination laws, releasing a groundbreaking study on LGBT housing discrimination, and pursuing complaints under the Equal Access Rule.

Gov. Asa Hutchinson will not Veto the Gay Discrimination Bill in Arkansas

Well, looks like Gov. Asa Hutchinson wants to keep his state in the dark ages. Many have asked him to veto SB 202, the gay discrimination legislation, but he won't do it.

His press spokesman, J.R. Davis, gave this response:
The Governor's position will not change.
This horrid legislation goes into law tomorrow, but it has 90 days to take effect. Until then, I hope that equality groups sue the Hell out of them and businesses jump ship!

Patricia Arquette's Equal Rights moment lost after this statement on Gays and People of Color

Patricia gave a great speech about women's rights at the Oscars, but she ruined it with this statement after the event.

She said:

“So the truth is, even though we sort of feel like we have equal rights in America, right under the surface, there are huge issues that are applied that really do affect women. And it’s time for all the women in America and all the men that love women, and all the gay people, and all the people of color that we’ve all fought for to fight for us now.”

So women of color and queer women are not included?

I hope she realized what she said, because that didn't sit well with many, many people. On Twitter alone, several feminists and activists tweeted some interesting things. Hopefully, she will apologize later.

Screenwriter Graham Moore is Straight

Screenwriter Graham Moore gave a great speech after winning his Oscar for Best Screenplay for the film, The Imitation Game. Many folks assumed that he was gay given that he talked about suicide and wrote the film about Alan Turing.

So, I decided to do some digging and found an article that set the record straight (no pun intended)

Here's a snippet:
I wanted to know if there was any gay sex/love in the film? “No”, he replied abruptly, his tone changing… as if this question had been asked too many times, or… this was a question that he had been expecting, but didn’t want to answer. Realizing there was something amiss, I asked Graham if he was gay. Graham told me that he is a straight man. I told him rather grandly that all of my films had gay themes. Perhaps, sensing my ire, my gay militancy or simply knowing that a gay film maker in Hollywood is perceived as a lesser film maker, to some… no more than a pornographer, Moore boasted that he had gone to great lengths to purge the film of anything gay. He didn’t want Turing’s gayness to be a ‘distraction’. He didn’t want gay sex to ‘put off the majority’. He was adamant that he didn’t want his film to be a gay film.

I warned him that his rather old fashioned attitude could cause a backlash… that Turing was an important part of our LGBT history. That Alan Turing had been tortured by the state for being gay. Moore scoffed that I was still in a minority and people were interested in Turing the man and not Turing the gay man.
Now I have a clip of Graham saying it himself

White Supremacists lend a hand to the "Stop Gay Marriage in Alabama" Rally

Over the weekend about 300 people got together at the Alabama's State Capitol to rally against gay marriage.

Sanctity of Marriage Alabama held this event, but what was noted by JoeMyGod was another group that was present... League Of The South.

This group is pretty much a hate group. Here's a description from SPLC
The League of the South is a neo-Confederate group that advocates for a second Southern secession and a society dominated by “European Americans.” The league believes the “godly” nation it wants to form should be run by an “Anglo-Celtic” (read: white) elite that would establish a Christian theocratic state and politically dominate blacks and other minorities. Originally founded by a group that included many Southern university professors, the group lost its Ph.D.s as it became more explicitly racist. The league denounces the federal government and northern and coastal states as part of “the Empire,” a materialist and anti-religious society.
This group has an interesting history and with them publicly supporting Roy Moore and Sanctity of Marriage Alabama, it will only go downhill from there.

B. Scott and BET have Reached a Settlement

The 2-year legal battle between media personality B. Scott and BET/Viacom has come to an end. The two have reached a settlement in the gender discrimination case.

Now to flash back, this issue started when B. Scott was asked to host the BET Awards red carpet event. B. Scott was wearing an outfit that BET deemed to be "too feminine".

They forced B. Scott to change to look more masculine. That move bothered many of Scott's fans, as well as, B. Scott. Later, Scott filed a discrimination lawsuit against BET/Viacom, but a judge ruled in BET's favor, citing that the network had the right to make Scott change clothes. However, something was said and done to reach a new settlement.

B. Scott released this statement:
Dear love muffins,

After two years of a lengthy legal battle with BET/Viacom, I can say that a settlement has been reached and ‘the matter is resolved’.

It’s never an easy decision to stand up for yourself and fight for your right to be who you are. It’s something that I believe in and it’s something that I’ll always continue to defend.

In recent months we’ve witnessed transgender individuals, gender non-conforming performers, and other allies in the fight for equality receive opportunities that may not have been extended to them a few years ago.

I’m proud to say I’m part of the change. I truly hope that by walking in my truth it encourages others to be who they are. Thank you to my attorney Waukeen McCoy, my family and friends, and of course my love muffins for all of your continued support.

I must say, through it all God is so good.

As always, double kisses xoxo!

Love,

B. Scott

P.S. I can’t wait to share with you the many exciting projects I have coming up this year!

First Look at Jason Momoa as Aquaman

Texas Supreme Court stops Gay Marriages in the State

Texas Supreme Court has halted gay marriages for now. It seems that after one couple got married, they felt that it was enough.

LA Times report:
The high court ruling did not specifically address the marriage license granted to the two women who were allowed to marry based on a one-time court order issued for health reasons. One of the women has ovarian cancer.

Republican Texas Atty. Gen. Ken Paxton said the high court's orders meant their marriage license was void.

“The court’s action upholds our state constitution and stays these rulings by activist judges in Travis County," Paxton said in a statement. "The same-sex marriage license issued by the Travis County Clerk is void, just as any license issued in violation of state law would be. I will continue to defend the will of the people of Texas, who have defined marriage as between one man and one woman, against any judicial activism or overreach.”

Paxton had asked the state's high court to stay orders by two Travis County judges, one in a probate case and the other a temporary-restraining order granting the same-sex couple a marriage license.
This shouldn't last long.

Rudy Giuliani thinks President Obama hates America

During a group dinner for Gov. Scott Walker, Rudy Giuliani went on a Dumb Tirade against President Obama. He questioned in Obama loves our country:
"I do not believe, and I know this is a horrible thing to say, but I do not believe that the president loves America. He doesn’t love you. And he doesn’t love me. He wasn’t brought up the way you were brought up and I was brought up through love of this country.”

Alabama Judge threatens to Abolish Marriages altogether

The craziness in Alabama continues to grow.

Justice Glenn Murdock wrote a document that could get rid of marriages all together.

Think Progress reports:

Justice Murdock’s opinion is attached to a brief order from the state supreme court as a whole declining to offer further guidance to Alabama probate judges regarding whether they must comply with a federal court order holding that same-sex couples are entitled to the same marriage rights as straight couples. In a brief opinion concurring in that order, Murdock hints that, if this federal court order is permitted to stand, then his own court should strike down all marriages within the state of Alabama.

Murdock suggests that, had the state legislature known that its decision to exclude gay couples from the right to marry was unconstitutional, it might have preferred not to permit anyone to be married in the state of Alabama. This potential preference for no marriages over equality matters, according to Justice Murdock, because of a prior state supreme court decision holding that, when part of a state law is struck down, the law may be declared “wholly void” if “the invalid portion is so important to the general plan and operation of the law in its entirety as reasonably to lead to the conclusion that it would not have been adopted if the legislature had perceived the invalidity of the part so held to be unconstitutional.”

You can read his opinion here

Texas Probate Judge Rules Gay Marriage Ban Unconstitutional

Yesterday, Texas probate Judge Guy Herman ruled that Texas' ban on same-sex marriage was unconstitutional.

The interesting thing is this ruling started out as an estate battle.

Here's more:

An Austin woman sought to have her eight-year relationship with a woman who died of cancer in June recognized as a common-law marriage.

“Oh, we had a marriage. It was definitely a marriage,” Sonemaly Phrasavath, the woman challenging the state's ban, told KXAN late last year. “We carried ourselves as such. She was in every sense my wife and vice versa.”

The Texas attorney general cannot appeal the ruling because he is not a party in the case, and the siblings of the deceased woman, who are challenging Phrasavath, have not decided whether they will appeal, the Statesman reported.

Last February, a federal judge ruled that the Texas ban on same-sex marriage was unconstitutional, but imposed a stay on the ruling, predicting that it would be appealed. That appeal was heard by the U.S. 5th Circuit Court of Appeals last month.

Lawyers asked the U.S. 5th Circuit Court of Appeals last week to lift the stay and allow same-sex marriages in Texas to proceed. The request came after the Supreme Court allowed gay marriages to proceed in Alabama following a federal judge's ruling that the state's ban on same-sex marriage was unconstitutional.

Of course this will be contested, but who knows, maybe this will stick?

Brother vs Brother over Anti-Gay Bill in Arkansas

I just heard about this.

So, in Arkansas, lawmakers passed a bill that would ban any LGBT rights ordinance. Then, their Governor said that he just let the bill go straight into law without signing it in. Seriously?

Sadly, this just other reflection of the mess really going down in the South. However, there's a bit shining light down there. Donald Collins, the gay brother of Arkansas state rep. Charlie Collins, wrote a great letter yesterday to help change the minds in Arkansas.

He wrote:

My brother, Arkansas House of Representative Charlie Collins (District 84), cast his vote Friday in support of the SB202 in part because of what he called an “overreach” by the Fayetteville City Council, the town where he lives and represents in his district. Last August the Fayetteville City Council passed Chapter 119, an anti-discriminatory ordinance that Charlie soon spoke out against and successfully campaigned to repeal in a special election last December.

Arkansas bill SB202 blocks all cities and counties from enacting anti-discrimination laws that protect LGBT people. Buzzfeed News reports the bill’s sponsor, Republican Senator Bart Hester, sponsored the measure to create consistent policies across Arkansas that will attract business, and that he was infuriated that cities were attempting to expand civil rights laws for LGBT people. Rather than working for fairness and support by following the lead of more than 300 major US businesses that have adopted inclusive, non-discriminatory protections because they know it’s good for business, my brother and the other Arkansas legislators who voted for SB202 chose to move their state backward with a bigoted, hurtful bill that by Hester’s own admission is a reactionary one in the face of growing acceptance and political power of the LGBT community. What’s incredible to me is that my brother supported this bill even though he has a gay brother and a lesbian sister.

There's more http://www.vetosb202.com/my-brother-has-a-vote-but-i-have-a-voice/here, but this mess is far from over. Let's see how the next couple of weeks play out.

When Random Dick hits Your Friendships - A Rant

Sometimes, the true test of a friendship is if random dick won't come in between you two. What am I talking about? Well, for example, if you had plans to hang out and all of a sudden, they cancel or forget about your plans.

Why? Because some guy they found on one of those app just trumped everything. I get it, it happens, but after awhile you have to judge you friend or friends. I won't use names, but I do know someone who consistently throws time away trying to make some random dick happen.

For example, he will complain about how ridic certain gay apps are and how the guys are the worst. BUT, still talk to these guys and possibly sleep with them. He blames it on being lonely, but I think it's for being desperate. When you find yourself skimming through apps trying to find companionship, you need to take a moment to get yourself together. Because if you're looking for legit validation from a majority horned up guys, you might looking for a long time.

When these randoms begin interrupting your "hang out" plans, it's time to confront your friend. No random dick should ever ruin plans or personal time with friends... That's just my opinion. I would never do that to my friends, it's just wrong and a bit disrespectful. When it happened to me, I was livid. So, I confronted my friend over it. We had a great discussion about hope, the levels of horniness and levels of desperation.

I was mad at him, but I understood his issue. Pretty much, we need to work on his self-esteem because he can't keep doing this. I can't imagine dealing with this forever rollercoaster of lies, sex and empty promise. After a while it does something to your spirit.

The term “anti-gay” effectively mistranslates the pro-family motto “Love the Sinner, Hate the Sin,” into “Hate the Sinner because of the Sin.” As such it is not an honest descriptor but a slur, and its use by the media is an act of complicity in a dishonest and manipulative LGBT political tactic. Much of what the public falsely believes they know about my views and actions in the culture war is the fruit of this tactic and similar manipulative spin by pro-”gay” journalists throughout the industry.

I am asking The Republican to stop using the term “anti-gay” in news stories entirely, but especially in stories about me. “Pro-family” would be best, but if you insist on framing my position in the negative, use “Anti-homosexuality.” Both of those are factual and accurate, in contrast to the slur, “anti-gay.” You clearly don’t agree with me that people can and should “love the sinner, hate the sin” but you have no right to inject your opinion into the news as if it were fact.

Chevy Chase was a Hottie!

After looking the SNL 40 ads and old shows, I realized that Chevy Chase was HOT. A friend of mine also discussed this on Facebook.

Seriously, Chevy Chase (back in the day) could get it.

Interesting Quote: U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia

“The issue of gay rights, on abortion, on many of the issues in which Ruth’s opinions and mine differ does not pertain to the substance. It doesn’t pertain to whether gay people ought to have those rights or whether there ought to be a constitutional right or a right to an abortion. That isn’t the issue. The issue is who decides. That’s all. I don’t have any public views on any of those things. The point is who decides? Should these decisions be made by the Supreme Court without any text in the Constitution or any history in the Constitution to support imposing on the whole country or is it a matter left to the people? But don’t paint me as anti-gay or anti-abortion or anything else. All I’m doing on the Supreme Court is opining about who should decide.”

Good Bye, Gay App

After 2 years on the gay app, Bear 411, I have decided to leave it... Actually, run far from it. Folks, I am convinced that these apps are nothing good. I've only joined this one, but I couldn't imagine being on multiple ones. Why? Because you will get the same results, nothing.

That's what I got from this app, nothing. Well, I got some things from it:

  • A guy who confessed that he was a serial dater and liar
  • A guy who wanted to have sex with me because we're both from the south
  • Seeing my ex on the site
  • A bunch of guys who still live with their parents
  • Men over the age of 40 who are still in the closet
  • A guy who started out great, but later tried to sell me life insurance
  • Two guys who were so bad at sex, they should be put of their misery
  • A bunch of flakes
  • Several guys who wanted to see my Black Dick
  • Over 239 guys who wanted to bottom for me
  • A few guys who said they wanted to date, but really want to have arm candy
  • And one indecent proposal... I don't need a Sugar Daddy
I did meet 2 guys that I will keep, but they rest of them... Bye!

Federal Judge orders Mobile County Judge to Issue Gay Marriage Licenses

Moments ago, U.S. District Court Judge Callie Granade issued an order to Mobile County, Alabama probate judge Don Davis to get off his ass, and start giving marriage licenses to gay couples.

Don Davis was one of the defiant judges who wasn't issuing gay marriage licenses, now he has no choice.

Roy Moore cartoons are like potato chips. You can't eat -- or draw -- just one.

Ol' Roy loves the spotlight. Loves the attention ... loves the ink. I know this. I've tried to look the other way, tried to show restraint. I've tried to gin up enthusiasm for other subjects. I will move on, eventually.

But now that the Mississippi KKK has shown their love for Alabama's chief justice in his disdain for gay marriage ...? Well, hell. Let's grab the crayons and tear open another bag of Lay's.

They're a lovely power couple, right?

In Texas: College Football Player arrested for the murder of a Trans Woman

Last month, I talked about the murder of Ty Underwood. Ty was a trans woman who was shot multiple times in her car in Tyler, Texas. For weeks, there was no suspect or arrest, until now.

Police arrested Texas College student, Carlton Champion Jr. He was a player on the Texas College football team.

According to the investigators, Carlton was involved with Ty for several weeks via text messages. The two were meeting for sex, until Carlton found out that Ty was trans. Once Carlton learned the truth, he freaked out and murdered her. Now Carlton sits in jail with a bond set at $1 million dollars.

It didn't have to be like this. Carlton could've ended the relationship and just walked away, but to resort to murder is just inexcusable.

Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore: I Have 'Many Friends who are Homosexual'

Messy Trailer: "Light Wins: How To Overcome The Criminalization Of Christianity"

From RightWingWatch

Last week, we noted that fringe Religious Right activist Janet Porter was readying the release of a new anti-gay documentary she produced called "Light Wins: How To Overcome The Criminalization Of Christianity" that was reported to feature a variety of members of Congress and Republican presidential hopefuls.

At the time, there were only two clips from the movie available and the only political figure shown in either was Mike Huckabee. Today, Porter released another preview of her film, which contains footage of interviews she conducted with several anti-gay activists as well as with Rep. Louie Gohmert, Rep. Tim Huelskamp, Rep. Trent Franks, and Sen. Rand Paul, all attacking the Supreme Court for striking down the Defense of Marriage Act and for threatening to utterly destroy the institution of marriage entirely by legalizing gay marriage

Liberty Counsel begs Alabama Supreme Court to Stop Gay Marriage

From their broke ass press release:
Today, Liberty Counsel is asking the Alabama Supreme Court to join Chief Justice Moore in ordering all probate judges to refrain from recognizing marriage inconsistent with the Alabama Constitution, namely same-sex marriage licenses.

Liberty Counsel’s petition is in response to a US District Court ruling late Monday afternoon in a contempt case against the Honorable Don Davis. When the probate judge followed the law and did not issue same-sex marriage licenses, homosexual couples asked Judge Granade to hold Judge Davis in contempt. The US District Court agreed with Chief Justice Moore and ruled that the federal court injunction does not apply to any of the probate judges.
Here's their petition
