Alabama is a mess!

The Alabama Senate voted to stop giving out state-issued marriage licenses all together. What? The vote was 23-3, and if legal, folks will have to file a form recording their marriage rather than the county probate offices giving them licenses.

I don't know why they think this is necessary. It seems for problematic than anything. But these fools can't accept that marriage equality is real. Looking at this make you realize that they will do anything to avoid following the law of the land

Alabama Supreme Court drops Petitions opposing Marriage Equality

Good news in Alabama!

The Alabama Supreme Court tossed out petitions by the Alabama Policy Institute, the Alabama Citizens Action Program and Elmore County's probate judge who claimed the Obergefell case had no effect of their UNCONSTITUTIONAL gay marriage ban.

After the loss, Alabama Policy Institute's attorney said they're done fighting the law. However, Roy Moore... Chile, he's still in denial. He thinks the ban is alive and kicking.

In his response, this fool wrote:

"Today this Court by order dismisses all pending motions and petitions and issues the certificate of judgment in this case. That action does not disturb the existing March orders in this case or the Court's holding therein that the Sanctity of Marriage Amendment, ... and the Alabama Marriage Protection Act, § 30-1-9, Ala. Code 1975, are constitutional," he states. Based upon arguments of "love," "commitment," and "equal dignity" for same-sex couples, five lawyers, as Chief Justice Roberts so aptly describes the Obergefell majority, have declared a new social policy for the entire country. In reality, the Obergefell majority presumes to amend the United States Constitution to create a right stated nowhere therein. That is a lawless act."

John Kasich will not go after Marriage Equality as President

On the campaign trail, Kasich was asked about Gay Marriage and repealing the law. This has become a trending topic since some of the GOP presidential candidates have vowed to overturn the decision.

Kasich is the only candidate who has said he's not touching it.

“If I see discrimination in anything, like I said earlier, I’m willing to do what I can. Whether it’s executive order or legislation. That’s fine with me. As for marriage equality – let me be clear I’m for traditional marriage but I’ve been to my first gay wedding. A friend of mine is gay and got married. I went home and said to my wife, we’ve been invited to Steve’s wedding and you know, said this is going to be unusual for us. She said, well I’m going. Are you going? And I went. And I had a great time. And there was great champagne."

When pressed on his answer, Kasich made it clear

“Well, we’re not changing any laws. We’re not changing. We’re not going to allow discrimination on this.

I have to admit, John is looking like the only leveled headed person in the GOP room.

Marco Rubio has formed a Marriage & Family Advisory Board to attack Same-Sex Marriage. His plan is to repeal Obergefell.

County Clerk Kim Davis wants to Appeal to Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan

Yesterday, the 6th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals denied Kim's stay to deny marriage licenses to gay couples. So, she has until Monday to do her f*cking job!

But today, this jackal had the nerve to deny another gay couple their right to marry. She really thinks she can defy the law and God will be her co-pilot in this tired crusade. Seeing that she's running out of options, Kim is appealing her case to... DRUMROLL, to the U.S. Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan!

Now let me just tell you how this is going to end. Kagan's going to look at Kim's stupid ass and say, "Girl, get out of my face with this mess and get your resume together."

Why do they think Kagan is going to side with them? She was the one who was in favor of marriage equality! Seriously, Kim Davis? Why don't you just accept defeat and go back to the Ozark to raise pigs?

In Kentucky: Hateful Clerk denies marriage license in Morehead

Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis said Monday that her Christian beliefs make it impossible for her to give marriage licenses

to gay men or lesbians seeking to marry a member of the same sex. Rather than face claims of discrimination, Davis said, her office in Morehead is refusing marriage licenses to all couples until further notice.

"We've not had any applicants yet, but we've had several calls," said Davis, 49, a Democrat who took office in January.

"It's hard, I will tell you that," Davis said. "What has happened is that five lawyers have imposed their personal view of what the definition of marriage should be on the rest of us. And I, as a Christian, have strong views, too. And I know I don't stand alone."

Roy Moore orders Alabama judges to not issue Same-Sex Marriage licenses for 25 Days

Just when you thought Roy Moore was down, he quickly popped up with new mess to share. He's stalling marriage equality in the Alabama for 25 days.

Moore said his view of the order is that the U.S. Supreme Court ruling on Friday ending the gay marriage order is stalled in Alabama.

Seven of the nine justices concurred with the order. Only Moore and Supreme Court Justice Greg Shaw joined Moore did not sign on.

"I am not real clear what it's saying .. it's very unclear," Jefferson County Probate Judge Sherri Friday said. At this moment, they are still issuing licenses to same-sex couples as her attorneys review the order.

Part of the order, Friday said, states parts of the U.S. Supreme Court ruling that were appealable for rehearing.

The order stems another issued by the state supreme court in March.

"As it has done for approximately two centuries, Alabama law allows for 'marriage' between only one man and one woman," the order issued in March stated. "Alabama probate judges have a ministerial duty not to issue any marriage license contrary to this law. Nothing in the United States Constitution alters or overrides this duty."

That order, called a writ of mandamus, had been requested by the Alabama Policy Institute and the Alabama Citizens Action Program in February.

Take a moment to look back at all of things said about Marriage Equality. How Hell was going to come and wipe us out. Everything those so-called-Christians said to us.

All of the hate they spewed and all of the money they spent on the hate campaigns like Prop 8 and the religious freedom laws. Their fear of our love was so much, but in the end, they failed and we won.

There is still more to fix, but for a moment let's look back at the mess they told us. And how in the end, it was nothing but dust.
