Justice Department declines to pursue charges against George Zimmerman

The Department of Justice just announced that they will not pursue federal criminal civil rights charges against George Zimmerman for the murder of Trayvon Martin.

Attorney General Eric Holder said they didn't find the “high standard for a federal hate crime prosecution.”

“The death of Trayvon Martin was a devastating tragedy. It shook an entire community, drew the attention of millions across the nation, and sparked a painful but necessary dialogue throughout the country,” Holder said. “Though a comprehensive investigation found that the high standard for a federal hate crime prosecution cannot be met under the circumstances here, this young man’s premature death necessitates that we continue the dialogue and be unafraid of confronting the issues and tensions his passing brought to the surface. We, as a nation, must take concrete steps to ensure that such incidents do not occur in the future."

The family of Trayvon Martin released this statement via USA TODAY:

"We remain poised to do everything in our power to help eradicate senseless violence in our communities, because we don't want any other parent to experience the un-explainable loss we have endured,'' the family said, referring to their continuing work with a foundation named for their son.

"We will never, ever forget what happened to our son, Trayvon, and will honor his memory by working tirelessly to make the world a better place."

Daryl Parks, an attorney for the Martin family, told USA TODAY the decision represented an "injustice.''

"Neither one of our systems was able to hold him (Zimmerman) accountable criminally for what he did."

The family can still sue Zimmerman if they want to, I guess we will see.

George Zimmerman was Arrested... AGAIN!

I woke up to pee and I saw this news.

George Zimmerman was arrested! For what you might ask? For aggravated assault and domestic violence with a weapon! Yes, George Zimmerman, the man who murdered Trayvon Martin and was set free. The man who has been arrested two more times after that.

According to the news, George threw a wine bottle at the victim. The relationship with the victim is unclear for now. George was arrested around 9:45pm last night in Lake Mary. He will have to surrender all of his weapons by this Tuesday and wear a GPS monitoring device. Also, he was granted a $5000 bond and can't have any contact with the victim.

George is due back in court on Feb. 17 in front of Judge Donna McIntosh.

A Nativity Scene features a Bleeding Trayvon Martin

The Claremont United Methodist Church in Claremont, CA, has an interesting nativity scene. Their version has a bleeding Trayvon Martin where Jesus would be.

A black-hooded mannequin is bleeding in a pool that says “A Child is Born, a Son is Given.”

The artist John Zachary said this:

“My feeling about it is that we have so many guns in our country and there are so many killings and it’s unique to our children. And I think that people still need to talk about it in a reasonable manner until there’s something done about it."

He had the church's permission to display the scene, but some folks are not feeling this at all. Rev. Dr. Sharon Rhodes-Wickett said that some calls and emails have been really mean and one message condemned the church to Hell.

It's an interesting choice for a message. I might have to see this for myself.

William Filene, who's dressed as Trayvon, is not a golden boy. This fool was arrested in June for felony auto theft. He's also has a rap sheet of other things too, like loitering and prowling.

Caitlin Cimeno is the lady of the hour and a stank ass racist. Last year, this she-mess posted elderly women wearing tight pants and tube tops as “tacos,” and posted a photo of an Black girl wearing a t-shirt reading “Black Girls Rock,” with the caption, “First of all, sorry Hun but mommy lied to you & secondly if I was wearing a shirt that said something like the truth 'white girls rock' I would be stared at and called a racist cracker.”

Greg Cimeno, dressed as Zimmerman, is just a plain ole idiot with nothing in his life to show for.

Funny, how they thought this was a simple joke, now they are ones who are the clowns. Enjoy your 15 minutes of shame... We definitely will.

Juror B29 says George Zimmerman 'Got Away With Murder'

I can't with this news!

In an upcoming interview on Good Morning, America. The Juror B29 and the only one of color speaks out about the Zimmerman trial.

In the interview, Maddy said this:

"George Zimmerman got away with murder. But you can't get away from God. And at the end of the day, he's going to have a lot of questions and answers he has to deal with. [But] the law couldn't prove it."

Originally Maddy wanted to convict Zimmerman of second-degree murder, but felt there wasn't enough evidence to prove that (REALLY?).

She also said:

"I was the juror that was going to give them the hung jury. I fought to the end. That's where I felt confused, where if a person kills someone, then you get charged for it. But as the law was read to me, if you have no proof that he killed him intentionally, you can't say he's guilty."

I am really struggling with this. What evidence proved he was defending himself? He lied, it was clear and he didn't want testify, which was also telling.

I really can't accept their logic.

Zimmerman tries to be a Hero, Still a Murderer

So Zimmerman's trying to be a hero now?

Last week, he helped save a family trapped inside their overturned SUV. This happened at the intersection of I-4 and route 417 in Florida. Actually, this happened less than a mile away from where he shot and killed Trayvon Martin.

To be honest, it looks like a PR move; like in the movie, The Contender.

I'm glad the family is safe, but he's still a murderer.

Juror B37 loses her Agent, and possible Book Deal

The spotted slag, known as Juror B37, was excited to be signed by literary agent and Martin Literary Management president Sharlene Martin.

But after the CNN interview and Twitter responses to this mess, Sharlene dropped B37 like cheap fabric.

Sharlene told Buzzfeed:

“After careful consideration regarding the proposed book project with Zimmerman Juror B37, I have decided to rescind my offer of representation in the exploration of a book based upon this case.”

Then this disgraceful trollop release this broke ass statement:

“I realize it was necessary for our jury to be sequestered in order to protest our verdict from unfair outside influence, but that isolation shielded me from the depth of pain that exists among the general public over every aspect of this case. The potential book was always intended to be a respectful observation of the trial from my and my husband’s perspectives solely and it was to be an observation that our ‘system’ of justice can get so complicated that it creates a conflict with our ‘spirit’ of justice.Now that I am returned to my family and to society in general, I have realized that the best direction for me to go is away from writing any sort of book and return instead to my life as it was before I was called to sit on this jury.”

Girl, please. You got dropped and egg in your face. Serves you right!

We cannot begin to imagine the continued pain and suffering endured by Trayvon Martin's family and friends. We stand in solidarity with them as they continue to fight for justice, civil rights and closure. And we thank everyone who has pushed and will continue to push for justice.

Trayvon Martin deserves justice and his civil rights. We support the organizations and community leaders who are urging the federal government to explore every option to ensure that justice is served for Trayvon and that his civil rights are honored and respected. But our work does not end
there: we will honor Trayvon Martin by strengthening our commitment to end
bias, hatred, profiling and violence across our communities.

We represent organizations with diverse lesbian, gay, bisexual and
transgender constituencies. Our community has been targets of bigotry,
bias, profiling and violence. We have experienced the heart-breaking
despair of young people targeted for who they are, who they are presumed to
be, or who they love: Rashawn Brazell, Lawrence King, Ali Forney, Brandon
Teena, Brandon White, Matthew Shepard, Marco McMillian, Angie Zapata, Sakia

National Bar Association releases a Statement demanding Justice for Trayvon Martin

Washington, DC, July 14, 2013 - We are extremely disappointed by the verdict in the case of State of Florida v. George Zimmerman. As lawyers we respect the rule of law, but in this instance the Zimmerman verdict sadly highlights the continued injustices Black Americans face in the U.S. legal system.

"The verdict," stated NBA President John E. Page "says an unarmed college-bound Black teen can be profiled, stalked, confronted and killed by an armed neighborhood watchman with hollow tip point bullets. We express our heartfelt condolences to Trayvon Martin's family on this tragic verdict. We also say 'Enough is Enough - It is NOT OK to kill our youth'."

The fact is the jury delivered a not guilty verdict. The TRUTH is justice has not been served. In these most challenging of times, we are called upon to act. We must move from outrage to action. It starts today with the NBA and YOU! 

"Injustice anywhere," as Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. said "is a threat to justice everywhere." We have work to do to achieve justice for Trayvon Martin. As social agitators, the members of the NBA are continuing the struggle for "equal justice under the law" for Trayvon Martin. At the forefront of this struggle are NBA members Daryl Parks (Past NBA President) and Ben Crump, of the Tallahassee, Florida law firm Parks & Crump, LLC, that are representing Trayvon's family in advocating for "equal justice under the law." We proudly stand with them.

We urge the Department of Justice to act. The Department can still address the violation of Trayvon's most fundamental civil right - the right to life. Upon a thorough investigation of the matter, we expect the Department to vigorously pursue all appropriate claims.

We urge all lawyers to act. Join us in Miami, Florida on Saturday, July 27 and Monday, July 29 in a CALL TO ACTION to collectively address the affront to and devaluing of civil rights of all men and women regardless of race who have been unfairly served by the justice system. We must not allow anyone to succumb to violence at the hands of vigilantes who ferment the devaluing of human life. It is now time to stand up.
