LISTEN: Geekshow's Review of the Wonder Woman pilot

Geekshow's Scott Carelli was super lucky to see the WW pilot. He gives the pilot mixed reviews which is not encouraging or hopeful.

Here are some highlights:
  • The dialogue is mostly cheesy (I noticed that in the script)
  • WW wears 2 costumes, including the panties
  • Diana kills for no reason... That's not Diana's or the Amazons' way
  • He liked Adrianne Palicki and Tracie Thoms (Etta), but hated Justin Bruening (Steve Trevor)
  • Scott says this isn't Wonder Woman, but it's David E. Kelley's Wonder Woman

Meanwhile, I'm going into a corner and cry.

I'm still trying to keep an open mind about Wonder Woman but it sounds like we should start writing this TV show's eulogy no later than the fourth week if it makes it on air.

The more details leak out, the more it seems like this thing will not be picked up for the fall season and that's probably a good thing. You can be sure that whatever its fate, Kelley will blame the fanboy community with the usual excuses that you hear when genre movies and shows turn out badly: you can't please those people!
No, not with Wonder McBeal you can't.
