Ok, this is a mixed bag.
I agree with the commentator, maybe it's just bad acting.
And I'll add, maybe he's too flamboyant.
But there are plenty of gay men or women who don't "telegraph sexual preference."
And I believe Neal Patrick Harris could still easily pull off a straight role. I think it has to do with being desirable. If women want to fuck you... they you are playing straight enough.
