Sadly, this was the first in the series I didn't care for.
You know V, I was eager and excited for the movie, but when I got to the theater was severely disappointed.Too much filler, not enough action.
The cinematography was good, but the story reminded me of something from 90210 or One Tree Hill. Too much was spent on all the love drama between the teens, I felt they edited out too many good parts, didn't devote quality to the good parts. Other areas they completely made up (I don't remember the scene from the Burrow at all in the books???)
The climatic fight in the tower was way too short and under emphasized. They funeral was cut...I just left feeling disappointed.
I just posted my own thoughts about this one on my blog. There was a LOT that I felt was left out--and with little good reason. True, the book was 650 pages so there is only so much you can depict. But there were key scenes to set up the final chapter that I felt were missing.
That said, I still enjoyed this one. The acting could have been a little better, especially on the part of Draco. (I felt his transformation in this one was key.) I think that as long as there is not a huge time gap between this one and the next, fans will not be too disappointed.
Viktor is a small town southern boy living in Los Angeles. You can find him on Twitter, writing about pop culture, politics, and comics. He’s the creator of the graphic novel StrangeLore and currently getting back into screenwriting.

I THOUGHT IT WAS GOOD...COULD TELL THAT THIS INSTALLMENT WAS SET TO THE FINAL MOVIES THAT ARE LEFT TO BE SEEN...
This was actually my favorite of the series.
I didn't actually think they'd kill Dumbledore.
