Margaret Thatcher has Died

Margaret Thatcher, the first woman to be Prime Minister has died.

The Iron Lady suffered a stroke this morning and died at the Ritz Hotel in London. She was 87 years old.

Lady Thatcher held office for over a decade, including most of the 80s. She was a huge influence to our politics, and a close friend to President Reagan.

In fact, here is one of those moments where she made a mark in US politics. This is part of a speech where Lady Thatcher spoke to the US Congress

She wasn't particularly well-loved by the British people but there's no denying she made quite an impact on the UK, the US, and the world. She was quite a woman. RIP

This utterly evil woman destroyed Britain - unless you were exceptionally wealthy, and laid waste to whole communities.

It's also worth remembering that she supported South Africa's white apartheid government, and called Nelson Mandela a terrorist.
