Don't judge her unless you have ever stood up in front of a lot of people and tried to sing something from memory. Unaccompanied.
I know Christina is going to take a lot of shit for that, but very few people on this planet can know the pressure of singing live in front of an audience of many millions of people.

That's a shame. I imagine that must be nerve racking though.

I was in the kitchen cooking and I heard her singing and wished for Whitney Houston to step in. She sounded like she was stressed.

@Judy-Actually, thinking about this further, she has done this numerous times in her career. She's performed in various television and live performances. (And she has KILLED it in many of those instances!)She has also been performing on stage since she was a child.

I think her being so off has more to do with her personal life and the antics there than singing in front of a lot of people. She's hardly an amateur in that regard.

Maybe it wasn't obvious to me. i thought she sounded good. not her best, but she sounded good.

Maybe if she'd spent more time SINGING than SCREAMING she woudn't have f'd up. Just sayin'.

No one will ever top Whitney Houston's version I feel that that is written in stone.Christina messed up big time she has been around a while to know better ,hell she was on the Mickey Mouse Club and I don't think she was nervous being looked at by many. She simply botched it.

Being that she's been doing this sort of thing for more than half her life, and that it is our National Anthem... I'm going to judge.

She should've got her damn hair done instead of looking like a hooker on her day off to show some respect to what she was singing.

She should've also paid more attention to the lyrics than her ridiculous need to add 13 riffs to each note she sings.
