With the new developments of last week, (DOMA, Prop 8, States battle with Civil Unions/Gay Marriage and Hawaii) how are you feeling about the LGBT rights movement so far?

We're making progress but bottom line it's still about jobs.

Thank God for David Mixner and Cleve Jones and the National Equality March in 2009.

I see progress but then I look locally and get dismayed. 2011 was supposed to be the year for marriage equality in Rhode Island.

But now I hear the fucking Bishop is summoning politicians to his office. That's some serious balls and I'm really want to punch the Bishop in the face for this shit.

You don't rule the roost anymore Bishop. The church had their shot at that and managed to fuck it up right to the last minute. The most recent where you and your church shot your credibility to shit with the revelation that the church KNEW about the abuse of children and yet continued to hide it.

So let the secular world breathe for once.

I'm cautiously optimistic V. Locally we've been hit very hard and with the many losses we suffered during the last election. I'm not sure how much support we can win here in NH. We're trying, but it is a very hard fight successfully right now.
