My Top 5 Gay Anthems

I like to believe we all have songs that are gay anthems to us personally.  My anthems are not all "gay", but the words and passion in these songs remind me of why I'm gay and proud.

So, I like to share my gay anthems with you.

ELO - I'm Alive: the lyrics say so much

Labelle - Let Me See You in the Light

Patti Labelle - Somewhere Over the Rainbow

Carl Bean - I Was Born This Way (aka the better one)

Elton John - I'm Still Standing

Hmmm, this one has me thinking. I know that 'I Am What I Am' will have to be one of mine. I might have to come back to this, or come up with a post of my own...

Because Damien cited Xanadu by ONJ, on his blog, I'm going here to add the amazing scene that preceded it featuring hundreds of people on rollerblades in different costumes and of different cultures marching in unity.
