Question of the Day: Battlestar Galactica style
Today, Battlestar Galactica ends. The 2 hour finale is tonight and finally, we will know the truth.
But I have to wonder, BSG is Sci----oh, SyFy's bread winner. Everything else they have is not cute.
I mean, it's bad, like a broken fridge with rotten meat bad. Some of their space shows are strong, but the movies are junior high class projects: Spring Break Shark Attack, Boa vs Python, Frankenfish?
So my question is...What will SyFy do once Battlestar Galactica is gone?

Well, they do have the BSG movie later on this year...but other than that, I gotta say I don't really watch ScyFy too much.
They should just give up and show British SF - nothing else comes close. ;)
Oohhh, I second ka-os' comment.
But to clarify, I thought that the Caprica prequel will be a series, and not just a movie, no?
(Though they are releasing the pilot as a DVD before the show premieres)
Why SyFy and not Sci Fi?

Why SyFy and not Sci Fi?
It's a combination of lawyers unsuccessfuly trying to trademark the phrase SCI Fi,a desire by NBC/U to make the network more appealing to another demographic, mostly women, and feature cheaper made product, namely reality shows and reruns.
They will find another series to get people hooked. In the meantime they can try and attain the rights of Star Trek and show re-runs. Or start showing Mystery Science Theater 3000.
God help us all if they start showing MST3K on Sci-Fi Channel!
What did people think of the BSG Finale? The Finale left me wanting and irritated. Figured out the last end scene wrap up weeks ago... miffed about some parts.
First hour was boring as hell. Second hour and 10 minutes was better' quicker pace for moi.
But the big hype "You Will Know The Truth" was a let down for me. I still don't know ALL the truth.
Hello... Starbuck? Head People? Maybe I wasn't paying careful attention, will rewatch, but I'll give kudos to how RDM explained the Opera House vision and how it worked throughout the series.
