I came out 12 years ago when I was 44. By that time, I had been married and divorced, traveled the world, written a book, got my post graduate degree, but never been honest with myself or the world. That changed.
18 - I wasn't going to come out but I promised myself I would never lie to my mother if she asked .......... then she asked..
dammit :)
I came out at the age of 23, a month before my college graduation. I actually came out a little earlier within that same year to a friend, but I don't consider her a friend so much any more.
Either way, I came out, and a heavy weight was lifted off my shoulders. I regret nothing.
