My Top 5 Horror Movie Heroines

A Horror movie has to have these 3 things: a killer/thing, plenty of victims and a heroine.

Sometimes, it's the heroine that makes the movie. So I want to showcase my favorite Horror girls.

Nancy Thompson - A Nightmare on Elm Street. You really cheered for her, she is one of the best.

Laurie Strode - Halloween. Sibling rivalry to the max.

Alice - Friday the 13th. This girl had to fight all through the night

Sidney Prescott - Scream. Her past started the entire series.

Ellen Ripley - Aliens. She whipped that Alien Bitch's ass

Jamie Lee Curtis in Halloween 1 is my fave, followed by Nancy from Elm Street.

Nancy Thompson was amazing... I was so upset that the remake turned her into a needy girl who ended up being saved by a guy. The original Nancy didn't need anyone.

Laurie Strode took a different turn, although she seemed helpless in the beginning, always running and screaming, each time her character made an appearance in a sequel, she was stronger and more awesome. Jamie Lee Curtis is the ultimate!

Ellen Ripley is just bad-ass... I love how she outlived almost all the Marines that went with her back to the colonized planet in Aliens.

It's too bad that most modern horror or sci-fi movies reduce their female leads to eye-candy and victims who don't redeem themselves. Their humor isn't campy, and they're all anorexic with stringy hair!
