Stupidity reigns in Mississippi - 52% believes Obama is a Muslim

This is not a surprise, but it's so sad. In the deep parts of the South, many of them still believe Obama is a Muslim.
In the midst of tight GOP primaries in both states, Public Policy Polling (PPP) has released information showing that a majority of likely GOP primary voters in the Deep South do not see Obama as a Christian. PPP's Alabama survey of 600 likely GOP primary voters found that only 14 percent consider Obama a Christian, while 45 percent said he is a Muslim and 41 percent answered that they were not sure.

A similar picture surfaced in Mississippi. Of 656 likely GOP primary voters surveyed, 12 percent said Obama was a Christian, 52 percent classified him as a Muslim, and 36 percent fell in the "not sure" category.
Why must the South continue to live up to the stereotypes?

Rick Santorum charges President Obama of 'Hubris' And 'Snobbery' for wanting Kids to go to College

In Manchester, N.H., Rick told some folks that Obama was WRONG to say all American kids should go to college. How dare Obama tell them that?

Rick said:
I was so outraged by the president of the United States for standing up and saying every child in America should go to college. Well who are you? Who are you to say that every child in America should [go to college]? I mean, the hubris of this president to think that he knows what's best.

I have seven kids. Maybe they will all go to college. But if one of my kids wants to go and be an auto-mechanic, good for him. That's a good paying job: using your hands, using your mind. This is the kind of snobbery that we see from those who think they know how to run our lives. Rise up America, defend your own freedoms. And overthrow these folks who think they know how to orchestrate every aspect of your lives.
Yeah, Rick! Why would Obama want kids to dream big and get an education? That's so arrogant and prideful... Impeach Obama!

OWS Protesters interrupt President Obama's Speech - VIDEO

Obama tells them that he's on their side.

 Mediaite reports:
In New Hampshire just a few minutes ago, President Obama was the latest to receive the human microphone treatment. Really, though, this was probably just an attempt to invent a new human teleprompter.

Unsurprisingly, unlike some of the other protests of this kind, the protesters shouting at the President of the United States didn’t get to take the attention for that long. Shortly after they began their message (“Mr. President, over 4,000 peaceful protesters have been arrested…”), the crowd turned on them, booing and eventually drowning them out with “Obama!” chants.
He did handle it well

President Obama: All U.S. troops to leave Iraq

He ain't playing:
The Obama administration has decided to withdraw all U.S. forces from Iraq by the end of the year after failing to reach an agreement with the Iraqi government that would have left several thousand troops there for special operations and training.

President Obama and Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki spoke Friday morning to cement that agreement in a scheduled telephone call, according to people familiar with the agreement who spoke on the condition of anonymity. White House officials have yet to disclose the contents of the call, but Obama is scheduled to deliver a statement at 12:45 p.m. on the agreement.

Interesting Quote: David Mixner

Reflecting on the positive accomplishments and so many more that limited space makes it impossible for me to list, I deeply believe the re-election of President Barack Obama is essential - no critical - to continue to have the opportunity of creating a just and fair nation. Everything I cherish about this country, my personal principles and values and hope for the empowering those without a voice could disappear with the election of a Republican.

I know we say this every election year, but that's because every election year it is true: there has never been a more important election and each and everyone of us should treat it that way.
David is basically saying it's important to re-elect President Obama.

President Obama is STILL working on his view of Gay Marriage

My Boo says that he's still 'working' on gay marriage.
During an interview with ABC News on Monday, Obama said gay couples should, at a minimum, have strong civil unions. But he stopped short of backing gay marriage.

Obama says his evolving views are influenced by friends, family and children of gay couples he knows who are thriving.

Numerous recent polls suggest a slight majority of Americans favor giving same-sex couples the right to marry.
Basically, he saying it's 2nd term issue. My mama just told me that we better keep him in there if we want to put a ring on it.

WATCH: John Aravosis on President Obama's HRC Dinner

Surprisingly, he wasn't bitchy about the speech. The executive order bit is unrealistic, but that's most of Aravosis' stances.

Now, here is my quick points... I really don't think he (Obama) needed to spit out every LGBT issue in his speeches. President Obama has kept his promises and will continue to keep his promises.

Plus, this year seems to be all about his jobs bill. With most Americans placing Jobs and Economy on the top of their list; I think gay marriage may not make this year's list. But, I think we will see the end of DOMA in his 2nd term.

I don't need to hear these magic words and all will be okay. I trust his actions and so far, he has delivered.

Question of the Day: Gay Rights Edition

President Obama will be speaking tonight at the HRC dinner. Many hope he will talk about DOMA, and others want him to speak about ENDA.

What would you like to hear from the president this evening?
